  • Our Vinyard and Winery

Wine Country Farm Cellars…a boutique winery practicing the art of hand-crafting fruit into wine with an artistic flair to compliment science, technology and Mother Nature.

HISTORY: In 1990, while looking for a special Oregon property to call home, Joan Davenport came upon 13-acres which included a spacious farm house, historic barn built in 1870 with connecting pastures for her Arabian horses and five-acres of grapes. The vines were planted in 1970 and included Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Muller Thurgau and Riesling varietals. They are the second oldest planting in the area known as the Red Hills of Dundee. The possibilities!!! She purchased the property and eagerly went about transforming it into a romantic B & B while keeping its original Pacific Northwest country charm for guests to enjoy from around the world. Soon to be added was a spacious Tasting Room that can also be used for weddings, meetings and special events. The property’s sweeping 180 degree views to the south of rolling hills covered with precision rows of grapes and hazelnut orchards will take your breath away. Your eyes gaze in awe at the beauty of the Willamette Valley below, reaching out to the snow covered tops of the Cascade Mountain range in the distance. Sitting at the top of Breyman Orchard Rd on the famed Red Hills of Dundee, this historic farm is a very special place to be, indeed!

TODAY: Our estate grown grapes are part of the Dundee Hills AVA (American Viticultural Area), the “heart and soil of Oregon wine”. The relationship between the red volcanic “Jory” soil, the elevation and the micro-climates gives this area a unique characteristic for making some of the best Pinot Noirs in the world.

In 2006, we built a winery and cellar adjacent to our historic barn allowing the grapes to be hand-picked, crushed, processed and bottled in our own facility and stored in our cellar. The estate grown fruit never leaves the farm and is under the watchful eye of Alberto Alcazar.

In addition to our 9-room B & B, you can rent your own private house in the heart of Oregon’s wine country, the Summit Suites, which overlooks 3-new acres of Pinot Gris and Pinot Noir, planted in 2007.

Wine Country Farm Cellars hand crafts a very limited supply of the best estate wines possible from the grapes, soil, climate and conditions that Mother-Nature allows, at a reasonable price to you.
