  • Insider's Info

Travelers are always looking for memorable and relaxing experiences. Let’s discover more through the words of our innkeepers. Many thanks to Brenda Franey for sharing her own secrets with BBOnline.com!
Why do most travelers stay at your inn?

We are located only 8 miles west of Interstate 77, making us one of the most easily accessible lodgings in Ohio's Amish Country.

What are you best known for? What makes your inn unique? What do you love most about your inn?

Guests love our wrap-around front porch and swing where they can relax and watch the buggies trot by on Main Street.

If someone has never been to your city, what is the #1 reason to come visit?

A clean, quiet village that is very walkable with convenient access to many Amish communities in the area. Plus, we have the World's Largest Cuckoo Clock!

What’s the best compliment you have ever received about the inn?

Many guests (and our reviews) have told us that The Cornerstone B&B is one of the cleanest lodging facilities they've ever stayed at!

What’s the best kept secret about the area?

While most guests come to visit Amish country, there are some beautiful hiking trails and bike paths nearby also.

If a traveler is staying at your inn for 4 nights, what should he/she do in the area?

There are several small wineries in the area (there are 3 wineries within 2 miles of The Cornerstone). If you like wine, a one day wine tour is lots of fun!

Is there anything within walking distance of your inn?

Sugarcreek's "Swiss Village" area is only 2 blocks from The Cornerstone and has several lovely shops. We have a 2 mile walking circuit that will take you past the Cuckoo Clock and a working Mennonite farm with a farm stand.

We have several Amish families in the area that welcome tourists into their homes for dinner. Plus, we have a great village pub two blocks away that has a great beer selection.

Any good area guides/websites that travelers could reference?

The Holmes County Chamber of Commerce has a very comprehensive website that includes area festivals and Amish auctions at www.visitamishcountry.com/
