  • Introduction

Relax at this log cabin in the peaceful setting of Amish Country. It is located in Sugarcreek, Ohio, overlooking the beautiful Willandale Golf Course. Enjoy a continental breakfast in your room during your stay, otherwise, vouchers for breakfast are provided Monday through Saturday at the Dutch Valley Restaurant and on Sunday at the Golf Clubhouse May through October.

Even though the cabin sits on the rolling hills of the countryside, you are only a heartbeat away from all the shops and attractions in Sugarcreek, Walnut Creek and Berlin, so shoppers can enjoy themselves as they search for Amish furniture, cheese, craft items, baked goods, and much more.

We have two suites from which to choose. The first is the Eagle's Nest, and is decorated in a golfer's theme. This suite features two large picture windows overlooking the Golf Course. The second is Country Comfort and has a rustic theme decorated with pine and log furniture. Both units have private entrances and private back decks overlooking a pond where you can sit outside and watch the birds at the birdfeeder, or just listen to the horse and buggies as they travel down the road. It is quite a unique place for people needing to get away from the every day grind. It truly is A Little Slice of Heaven.

  • Insider's Info

Travelers are always looking for memorable and relaxing experiences. Let’s discover more through the words of our innkeepers. Many thanks to Brenda Speas for sharing her own secrets with BBOnline.com!
Why do most travelers stay at your inn?

We are located in a great Amish Country location where lots of people cater to tourists. People like to come to this area and there are lots of motels, but they want to have a bit more privacy so many check out the cabins in our area. They are looking for a quiet-private place to spend time with their spouse and re connect. It is private as the guests don' t have to check in anywhere, they just go straight to the cabin and get in with the keyless entry. They can sit outside on their private back deck and enjoy God's beautiful creation.

What are you best known for?

A quiet cabin that sits on a golf course just one mile from the main road, cleanliness and the extra amenities make us stand out.

    What makes your inn unique?

Well, we have 2 suites that have back decks that face a pond and golf course. So your back yard is HUGE and it's always well manicured. And...it sits on the 11th hole of the Willandale Golf Course (willandalegolf.com) So golfers love the convenience of the cabin.

What do you love most about your inn?

We have a nice quiet place to get away from it all and just communicate with your spouse. People love to sit outside in the summer and watch the birds and listen to the horses go by. They love the 2 person jacuzzi that you can relax in. It’s off the main path, yet it’s close enough to the shops if you want to go there. They can go out to dinner at several great restaurants, or they can cook on our charcoal grill and eat at the cabin.

If someone has never been to your city, what is the #1 reason to come visit?

There are lots of things to do and see, the good food, great people, and the best shops in the state.

What’s the best compliment you have ever received about the inn?

We have had lots of people tell us that we have supplied their every need. They love the peaceful area that the cabin is in, and that they were able to re connect with each other. They felt renewed when they left. That is truly our goal: for couples to get away together and just relax.
