    Relaxing Outside

Eclectic pieces and parts have been arranged throughout the Inn; they are many personal treasures that give the inn a very warm and cozy feel. Many of the furniture pieces have been passed down from generations of the Innkeepers' families. After purchasing the property, demolishing the old house, building a new one and selecting the name, 'Lake Breeze Inn', the Innkeepers discovered that about one hundred years ago there had been a 'Lake Breeze Inn' just down the road.

  • Insider's Info

Travelers are always looking for memorable and relaxing experiences. Let’s discover more through the words of our innkeepers. Many thanks to Roger and Mary Urban for sharing their own secrets with BBOnline.com!
Why do most travelers stay at your inn?

OA Lake Erie vacation close to all that Cleveland and Northern Ohio has to offer.

What are you best known for? What makes your inn unique? What do you love most about your inn?

A modern inn with all rooms having views showing the lakes ever changing moods, we could never get tired of watching the scenery and both sunrise and sunsets over the lake.

If someone has never been to your city, what is the #1 reason to come visit?

The major attraction is the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

What’s the best compliment you have ever received about the inn?

It is so hard to pick one. That we are a hidden gem that is under-priced. One lady-a world traveler (Himalayas, Sahara desert), said we had the best sunsets she ever saw. That we are like family. On and on.

What’s the best kept secret about the area?

Up until mid-1950’s Cleveland was still one of the top five cities in America. Since then it has not grown like other places. Getting anywhere is easy and it has all the things that attract people to the major cities - culture, museums, top restaurants (iron chef Michael Simon), health care (Cleveland Clinic), professional sports, etc.

If a traveler is staying at your inn for 4 nights, what should he/she do in the area?

Relax. Enjoy an underrated world class city. If with kids Cedar Point amusement park with the most roller coasters anywhere and water parks is ½ hour away. Lots of wineries that rival California, exclusive shopping, antiques, quaint small towns, fishing, swimming, canoeing, all kinds of museums, etc.

Is there anything within walking distance of your inn?

    Beaches and shopping.

What is your favorite restaurant/food in the area?

    Chez Francois, Lolita, Fratillo’s.

Any good area guides/websites that travelers could reference?

    www.positivelycleveland.com
    www.visitloraincounty.com
    www.shoresandislands.com

How many rooms does your inn have?

    Four rooms.

    Do you accept pets?

We have a Soft coat wheaten Terrier who is non-shedding and hypoallergenic and loves people. Because of possible conflicts we can’t have other pets- sorry. A great place to board just down the street: www.pawsbythelakeresort.com
