Travelers are always looking for memorable and relaxing experiences. Let’s discover more through the words of our innkeepers. Many thanks to Paul & Miriam Grossi for sharing their own secrets with BBOnline.com! Why do most travelers stay at your inn?
To explore and learn more about the Amish/Mennonite way of life and culture.
What are you best known for? What makes your inn unique? What do you love most about your inn?
Our unique circular design, phenomenal view, cleanliness, attention to detail are most mentioned in our guest reviews. Being conveniently located to the shops, restaurants and places of interest and yet in a quiet, secluded rural setting
If someone has never been to your city, what is the #1 reason to come visit?
The main interest in our area is the fact that we are the #1 Amish community in the states, learning more about the Amish and their way of life. The Innkeepers on site are actually Amish, so our guests have a firsthand experience with them.
What’s the best compliment you have ever received about the inn?
99.9% of our reviews are positive comments about the cleanliness, amenities, attention to details and million dollar view in the heart of Amish country.
What’s the best kept secret about the area?
If I told, it wouldn’t be a secret!
If a traveler is staying at your inn for 4 nights, what should he/she do in the area?
Lots of shops to explore, restaurants to sample the Amish style cooking, cheese factories where you can actually watch the process, quality-made furniture shops, antiques, local crafts, quilts, fabric stores, touring of Amish farms & homes, horseback riding, auctions and farmer’s markets in the summer months, little local bakeries with Amish-made goods, flea markets, golf, unique country stores and hardware stores..
Is there anything within walking distance of your inn?
The nearest little village is 1 mile away. Just up the road from the suites is a custom furniture maker who is Amish. A bit farther up the road and within walking distance is the Pottery Niche which has imported colorful, hand-painted Polish pottery. The township roads are wonderful for walking to enjoy the rolling hills and Amish farmland and see the horse and buggies as they go by.
What is your favorite restaurant/food in the area?
Boyd & Wurthmann’s in Berlin, many locals dine there, good, old-fashioned cooking and the Tarragon in the Inn at Honey Run
Any good area guides/websites that travelers could reference? How many rooms does your inn have?
We have 4 suites that accommodate 2 adults and 2 suites that would accommodate 4.
Do you accept pets?
No, we do not accept pets. The local vet clinic in Berlin will board them.
