Welcome to the gentle rolling hills of the Atwood Lake Region in Northeast Ohio. You will love the stunning views of Atwood Lake and shoreline landscape when you stay with us at Whispering Pines Bed & Breakfast. The picturesque, lush landscape of the lake will make your getaway relaxing, soothing and serene.
You have your choice of nine guest rooms, all with 2-person whirlpool tub, all season fireplace, private balcony, upscale furnishing and beautiful views of the lake or woodlands.
A delicious breakfast is served in the sunroom overlooking the lake. Also served are homemade chocolate chip cookies, pretzels, popcorn and s'mores (weather permitting).We look forward to seeing you at our Inn and happy to share with you a 'little piece and quiet'.
We are conveniently located 90 minutes south of Cleveland, 120 miles east of Columbus, 90 minutes west of Pittsburgh and is the perfect setting for any celebration or leisure getaway.

Why do most travelers stay at your inn? Guests stay with us because we provide personal and friendly service in a quiet and relaxed environment. Our lake view location is perfect for celebrating special occasions or a well needed getaway.
What are you best known for? What makes your inn unique? What do you love most about your inn? We are best known for our beautiful views of Atwood Lake as we overlook its scenic shoreline. Breakfast is always a treat and our homemade chocolate chip cookies are delicious.
If someone has never been to your city, what is the #1 reason to come visit? To unwind, rejuvenate and reconnect in an atmosphere where there are no distractions. Just being near the lake instantly quiets the soul.
What’s the best compliment you have ever received about the inn? Our guests tell us we make them feel very comfortable. Most don't want to leave. A return visit, a nice review and a recommendation is the best compliment of all.
What’s the best kept secret about the area? Close to many activities, but away from the tourist crowds. Surrounded by nature - trees, scenic landscape, flowers, birds and lake views.
If a traveler is staying at your inn for 4 nights, what should he/she do in the area? Sometimes the best plan is not to have a plan at all. There are many ways to spend a day. Meander through the Amish area for shopping, antiquing, eating and wineries. A visit to Canton for the Pro Football Hall of Fame, McKinley Monument, First Ladies Museum, chocolate factory. Rent a boat for the day and enjoy the 28 miles of shoreline, dock for lunch and walk the trails at Atwood Lake Park. A day of golf, horseback riding, motorcycling on winding roads or try your luck at Mountaineer Casino.
Is there anything within walking distance of your inn? Since we are located in a country setting our guests like to walk the grounds, sit on the hillside sipping wine while watching the sailboats and enjoying the evening fire pit roasting s'mores.
What is your favorite restaurant/food in the area? There are several great restaurants within a 30-40 minute drive. The Lighthouse Bistro on the lake is a summer time favorite. The best home made ice cream can be found at Taggerts in Magnolia. .
Any good area guides/websites that travelers could reference? We provide brochures for things to do and directions on how to get there. We also have lots of information on our website. Of course, we will be happy to help you plan your getaway.
How many rooms does your inn have? We have 9 large guest rooms all with private baths and 2-person whirlpool tub.
Do you accept pets? We do not accept pets. However, your pet can stay at a wonderful and caring retreat about 10 minutes from our Bed & Breakfast.

The Atwood Lake Region is a protected natural environment constructed in the late 30's. With 28 miles of lake shoreline, a surface area of over 1500 acres and miles of lush terrain, it is a unique area preserved to provide the perfect setting for picnics, fishing, swimming, boating, golfing and other outdoor activities.

Other activities include:
Exploring the coves of Atwood Lake aboard a pontoon boat or kayak. Stop for a swim, do some fishing, and walk the trails at the park.
July 4th fireworks display.
Biking, horseback riding, golf or a canoe ride on the Tuscarawas River.
Warther Museum, Reeves Museum, Breitenbach Winery and Al-Bi Winery on the lake.
Shopping in the Amish area and enjoying the popular outdoor drama - "Trumpet in the Land".
Tour the Chocolate Factory, Canton Classic Car Museum, Pro Football Hall of Fame and the National First Ladies Library, all located about 30 minutes away in Canton, Ohio.
Motorcycling and pleasure driving in the area is beautiful.
Area festivals include: Atwood Fall Festival, Algonquin Mill Festival, Great Trails Festival, and the Zoar Harvest Festival.
