“Worth the price”
Reviewed August 26, 2012
This was a girlfriends' birthday getaway and it was perfect. The double queen room seemed roomier than the king but both rooms were VERY well done. The beds and linens were awesome. We too ended up with a villa to ourselves and it made the experience like having your own vacation home away. The patio outside the villa was great and the landscaping is beautiful. It was so peaceful and relaxing. It was also very secure since you need your room key to get into your villa - very nice for women traveling alone. My only negative was that being a light sleeper, I could hear talking in the common area outside my room. No one was talking loud, but I could hear it very well and that surprised me. There is a quiet rule for the common room that helps, but may not be enough. The pictures on their website do not do justice to how pretty it is.
“My parents loved it”
Reviewed July 28, 2012
I bought this for my parents as a present. Even though you are in canton (where i grew up) you dont feel like it. The villas are top notch as is the service and food. Villas on the grounds of the winery and restaurant. My parents loved it. I did Not stay but visited my pArents there and they thanked me about a thousand times for my gift. If you can at least visit the restaurant or outdoor patio you will see what i mean. Worth it if you must be in canton. Definitely the nicest venue in the area.

We were fortunate enough to have a villa to ourselves. The main room is shared by other guests which may be a problem if they are noisy. Since there were no other guests, my husband and I were able to relax on the sofa and drink wine and play scrabble. The rooms are small but charming. The fireplace was a nice touch. Rooms would be great if there was a hot tub! The floors in the bathroom were slippery, so be careful.
The restaurant was wonderful! Live entertainment playing in the background was just right! Food was very good but a little on the pricey side. The only downfall for us was no smoking on the entire premises. Would be nice for my husband to enjoy a cigar with his wine while we were relaxing. Overall, I would recommend this Vineyard to family and friends and look forward to returning again.
“You owe it to yourself to check this place out”
Reviewed April 22, 2012
I had a large group (20 rooms) in Canton for a business meeting everyone raved about the villas. You won't believe that you're in Canton, Ohio. My guests were from all over the US and each was impressed. There are four rooms per villa. The rooms were spacious and well appointed, each had a fire place, flat screen HD TV, a shower large enough not to need a door, comfortable beds, and even a towel warmer.
Each villa had a large common area with a fireplace, patio, refrigerator, separate ice machine, and plenty of seating (large table, a couch, comfortable easy chair, and two small table & chairs.
There is no fitness room, the restraurant is not open on Mondays, but you get a warm breakfast each morning delivered to your villa. They should consider building a spa- that would put this place over the top!
“Are we really in Canton, Ohio?”

The Villas at Gervasi exceeded our expectations. At first we thought it strange to have this place in the middle of a residential area, but once you enter the grounds you feel as if you’ve been transported to another place. We stayed in the Villa Sorrento which I would recommend as it is one of the closest to the lake, and the views are amazing. We were in Sorrento 301 which is the two queens, we wanted the king but even booking 2 months out the queens were all they had available. The décor in the villas is gorgeous and not over the top, very tasteful. Each Villa has a stocked fridge in the common area with juice, pop, water and yogurt. However, either the other residents of the villa took all the water, or Gervasi should stock a few more bottles there were only a couple left when we checked in around 4 pm. The rooms also have individual fridges for your personal items. The bathrobes and slippers were a nice touch even though we didn’t utilize them. The breakfast delivered in the morning had a nice assortment of pastries, fruit and eggs. Serving it in the wine box was a nice added touch!
“They have out-done themselves at the Villas!”

We could not have picked a better place to celebrate my husband's birthday. We own a bed and breakfast and needed a getaway. When we check-in a hotel or bed & breakfast we notice things that the average traveler may not. Gervassi has thought of EVERYTHING! The decor makes you feel like you're in Italy. The mattresses, linens, bathrobes, slippers, bath amenities, and room decor are luxury all the way. The lighting, the sitting areas, the privacy, all all great. Being able to control the room temperature is another plus. The view of the landscape and lake are breathtaking. We stayed in Portofino and would do it again in a minute. The complimentary coffee, juice, soda, and bottled water were a welcome amenity. We didn't watch much TV but they even have a 2nd TV in the bathroom! The tile work in the bathroom and the shower was excellent. I cannot think of anything that I would change!

The opposite of a hotel chain and we loved it? Spent one nite at Fireze Villa after cooking class w/ Fabio and glad we did as it snowed 5" and we had a bottle of wine! Whoever decorated these villas has great style and taste. High end everything w/out being over the top. Favorites include radiant heated floor, huge comfy king siza bed, lemon verbena toiletries, great showers, remote control window blinds. four rooms all open into big common living room space w/ fridge and ice so could make this a fun gathering for 8 ppl. Breakfast comes in a big wooden box and is included w/ room price, so ate juices and fresh fruit. We fell asleep to flickering fire which is on 60 min timer so goes off while you're sleeping. I want to come back!
