Romance in the Heart of Amish County

In the heart of Ohio Amish Country, you may be surprised to find unparalleled beauty, culture, and generosity. But, at the Lamplight Inn Bed and Breakfast, expect to find exactly that.

Voted the “Best B&B in NE Ohio,” The Lamplight Inn is known far and wide for its quiet and gorgeous countryside, its enchanting sunset views, and its stunning woodwork and furnishings. However, the bed and breakfast boasts two special features that make this Inn stand out above all others: music and flowers.

Each morning, guests are welcome to generous and delicious homemade meals, accompanied by piano playing and tunes performed by “The Singing Innkeeper.” An ideal location for romantic getaways and anniversaries, the innkeepers claim another talent beyond harmony: extensive gardens and landscapes, featuring a seasonal array of over 10,000 tulips, each tending and tended and grown on-site. The elegance and comfort of your chamber can be accompanied by various specials including flowers, romance packages, chocolate-covered strawberries, golf packages, and “Amish County Specialties” gift baskets.

From the peace of your stately room, guests have access to a self-serve food bar maintained for evening snacks. The property, while secluded, is within walking distance of Main Street. Enjoy the local culture from the Wendell August Forge, Hennis and Guggisburg cheeses, Amish flea markets, and the shops in the Village of Berlin.

The frame is filled with 700 "Tequila Sunrise" tulips which produce stunning 5" blooms in a colorful combination of peach and red-orange, along with a mixture of gold and red tulips. This vivid display graces the front entrance to the inn and shouts a happy welcome as guests arrive.

Carrying the tulip theme indoors, guests enjoy an evening cup of tea or hot cocoa with Innkeeper Helen's almond-flavored cut-out cookies in the shape of a tulip, frosted in vivid colors similar to the real tulips!

Approximately 3,000 tulips in another bed. The rich purple is named "Negrita". The white is named "Catharina".The rich orange is named "Amazone".
