Ella Davis Ray Room
A wrought iron king bed is nestled in front of the bay windows for a view of the sunrise. The loveseat can be converted to a twin bed, and the bath features a tub/shower.
Ella Davis-Ray, the matriarch of the Ray family, was a strong-willed and beautiful woman accustomed to all the luxuries of the time. Clyde, after much cajoling (and the advent of the railroad), convinced Ella to move to the budding town of Waynesville to raise their family. The story has it that after the birth of her 12 children, Ella, in an effort to insure her privacy, moved up to the guest room and promptly had a lock installed on the door! Needless to say, there were no more children after that.
