The Innkeeper, Virginia Finnerty, a native of Honduras, Central America, came to US for college and has since lived in eight states. She's been an elementary education teacher, an executive assistant and a stay at home mom. She's worked in human resources, retail sales, real estate, catering, and meeting & event planning. And now, she's fulfilling her twenty-year dream of being a bed and breakfast innkeeper.

People stay with us for a wide variety of reasons; traveling through, exploring the area for retirement, work, local special events, special events nearby and special occasions like weddings, birthdays, funerals, etc.

What do you love most about your inn?
I love the architectural design and location.
If someone has never been to your city, what is the #1 reason to come visit?
The relaxing, laid back lifestyle.
What’s the best compliment you have ever received about the inn?
That it’s better than they expected.
What’s the best kept secret about the area?
That there’s a lot to do in the area, kayaking, sailing, cycling, fishing, hunting, shopping, dining as well as frequent special events throughout the year.

Is there anything within walking distance of your inn?
The waterfront and the Historic District is within walking distance.
What is your favorite restaurant/food in the area?
It depends what I’m in the mood to eat and what the occasion is. There are seven different restaurants within walking distance and I frequent all of them.

We have six rooms.
Do you accept pets?
I have one pet friendly room, the NOLA and information for a local pet “resort”.
