Valle Crucis Bed & Breakfast, with its steep wooded mountains, has been isolated away from the busy world, and rightfully placed on the National Historical Register.

Upstairs, take advantage of the entertainment loft, where you can watch TV or a favorite movie. Some guests just like to relax by reading in our comfortable leather couch or recliner. The Valle Crucis Bed & Breakfast embraces this historical community with majestic view of the River Run Horse Farm, and blends today’s finest amenities for a mountain experience you won’t soon forget.
Only minutes from local attractions and dining in Boone, Banner Elk and Blowing Rock, we are located in the heart of what the high country has to offer. Banner Elk is located approximately twelve miles southwest of Boone in western North Carolina's Blue Ridge Mountains. Avery County is home to famous mountain peaks like Grandfather, Beech and Sugar. It has the highest county seat in Eastern America, the highest incorporated town in Eastern America, and is known as the "Christmas tree capital of the world."
With four major ski resorts in the immediate area, our area has evolved into the premiere southern destination for winter sports. Downtown Banner Elk is located directly in between Sugar and Beech Mountains, while Hawksnest is just down and up the hill in Seven Devils, and Appalachian can be found between the other mountain towns of Boone and Blowing Rock in neighboring Watauga County.
About Our Rooms
The Valle Crucis Bed and Breakfast, a Blue Ridge Mountain bed and breakfast, provides travelers with a choice in guestrooms and suites. The main bed and breakfast features three guestrooms with such amenities as Queen beds, plush robes, CD players, flat screen televisions, fireplaces, mini-refrigerators, private baths and more. Below are our typical rates for our different seasons.
You might also select one of our two spacious suites located in our frontier mining town. Each of these 600-square foot suites is equipped with fine amenities including King beds, flat screen televisions, DVD players, fireplaces, coffee makers, private bath with Jacuzzi tubs and more. Each accommodation is uniquely decorated with antiques, we also provide free wireless internet throughout the main bed and breakfast, and your stay includes a full country breakfast served each morning!
