The Oaks Bed and Breakfast

The Oaks Bed and Breakfast is proud to offer our guests spacious and comfortable accommodations, each with full private baths and easy access to all the beauty and attractions of Western North Carolina.

All rates are single and double occupancy and subject to applicable state and local taxes. Each additional guest is $20. A full gourmet breakfast is served each morning. Guests with pets, staying in the Acorn Suite will be assessed a $5o one time, non-refundable pet fee.

The Green Room
These spacious and elaborate accommodations exude the very spirit of the Victorian era.  As the master suite of the couple that built this beautiful home in 1895, The Green Room remains the largest guest room at the inn.  A vintage settee and matching chair provide comfortable seating in this sunny second floor suite, complete with an over-sized full private bath, an antique queen-sized four poster bed, mirrored dressing table, chest of drawers, paddle fan, cable TV with remote and individually controlled heat and air. The Green Room has a fresh coat of paint! What was originally the master suite is still a gorgeous green. Today, a more organic shade — selected from a historic pallet of period colors — is combined with tasteful accents and artwork to create a restful sanctuary for our guests.

The Yellow Room
Every inn should have a room like the Yellow Room. Classic bed and breakfast in every detail. Warm and welcoming. Comfortable and cozy.  This many windowed suite overlooks the azalea garden at the side of the house and features a full private bath, ornate queen-sized four-poster bed, original art, antique vanity and dresser, fireplace, paddle fan, cable TV with remote and individually controlled heat and air. All guests of The Oaks Bed and Breakfast are invited to join us for a full plated gourmet breakfast served each morning at 8:30 in our dining room. Enjoy!

The Red Room
This striking crimson room is located at the end of the second floor hall—a short walk that will take you to a world of period antiques and remarkable Victorian charm. The hand carved four-poster queen-sized bed is the centerpiece of this luxurious suite—that is until you notice the mountain view of the densely wooded nature area that boarders this magnificent property.  With windows on two sides, The Red Room allows guests to appreciate all the sunshine and fresh air that the mountains are known for. Accommodations include: full private bath, antique vanity and dresser, comfortable seating, paddle fan, cable TV with remote, individually controlled heat and air and a gourmet breakfast for two!

The Turret Room
The Turret Room is the forward most room in the house and offers a beautiful second floor view of the 200-year old Black Oak from which the inn takes its name. Here you will find three comfortable single beds in two separate, yet adjoining rooms!  The classic round turret is part of this unique sleeping arrangement, making the Turret Room a favorite for “Best Friend Getaways”, Golf-Outings and parents traveling with teen-children. These open and sunny guest rooms feature too many windows to count, a small private balcony, full private bath located in the hall, original art, antique furniture, paddle fans, cable TV with remote, individually controlled heat and air and a full gourmet breakfast.

The Tree Tops Suite
Leave the world behind. The Tree Tops Suite is a spacious and comfortable luxury suite on the second floor of our Carriage House.  From your private balcony you’ll enjoy a spectacular woodland-mountain view.  Inside, cathedral ceilings and unique handmade laurel oak furniture welcome you with the embrace of a country home.  A complete kitchen inspires the chef, while the plush sofa daybed is an inviting place to recline and read. Whether you are traveling with two or more people, or looking for a place to stretch out for an extended stay, The Tree Tops Suite is the ultimate “home away from home” – the perfect base for your Blue Ridge Mountain vacation

The Acorn Suite
The Acorn Suite is on the ground floor of the Carriage House and as the name implies the structure was originally the stables, where the carriage was stored and the stable hands lived.  Somewhere in The Oaks Bed and Breakfast history, the Carriage House had been converted into two complete luxury cottage-apartments. Everything you need is here in a spacious and comfortable mountain setting... An eat-in kitchen with refrigerator, range, microwave and coffee maker, living room with trundle bed/sofa, cable TV, paddle fans, separate master bedroom, full bath with washer/dryer, individually controlled heat and air, plus a large private deck for quiet time spent bird watching or counting the stars. Tremendous windows, in both the living room and bedroom, make for an unobstructed view of the heavily wooded nature area and mountains that boarder this beautiful property. The Acorn Suite can easily accommodate two or more guests and is ideal for extended stays or guests with disabilities. We love our four-legged friends! The Oaks Bed and Breakfast is proud to be a “pet friendly” inn and allows well behaved pets in The Acorn Suite. Please mention that you will be bringing your fuzzy buddy and we’ll have the treats waiting!

Weekend bookings require a two night minimum. Single night weekend reservations are considered  by the Thursday prior.
Cancellation Policy: A deposit equal to a single night stay is required to secure all reservations and will be charged to your credit card. Cancellations made more than seven calendar days before check-in will incur a $25 Booking Fee. Cancellations withing SEVEN calendar days of check-in will incur forfeiture of your one night’s deposit. In the case of reservations for two or more days, cancellation will result in half (50%) of the total for all days booked being assessed against your credit card. If you fail to cancel your scheduled stay, all dates booked will be charged to your card. Holiday and Leaf Season cancellations require a FOURTEEN day notice from the date of check-in.
