This restaurant began as an Austrian pastry and coffee house, but now boasts a full menu of German cuisine. Visitors can still sample Austrian pastries here as well, while listening to Austrian music. Visitors looking for a romantic evening should take advantage of one of the Lake Lure Dinner Cruises. These cruises allow a beautiful view of the Blue Ridge Mountains and the beautiful architecture of the homes of Rutherfordton. You may even be lucky enough to see one of the locations used to film "Dirty Dancing". The cruise offers complimentary wine or beer, or another drink of your choice, and a four course menu.
