The home is furnished with our personally selected collection of antiques, as well as our very own hand-made furniture. The central Great Room houses a stunningly massive stacked-stone fireplace. The wrap around deck provides breathtaking mountain views. Located only minutes away from the Appalachian Trail, the Appalachian Inn is centered in a perfect area for those who choose outdoor adventure or prefer some rest and relaxation.     The Inn Is Located Approximately 8 Miles North of Robbinsville, NC

    From Atlanta: I-75N to I-575N. I-575N turns into GA 515N, turn Left just North of Blue Ridge onto GA 60. Turn Right at Meneral Bluff onto GA Spur 60. GA Spur Dead-Ends into US 19/74E. Turn Right onto US 19/74E. Follow through Murphy, Andrews, and the Nantahala Gorge. Turn left upon leaving the Nantahala Gorge onto NC 28. Go through Stecoah and turn Left onto NC 143. Knoll Top is Approximately 1 Mile on the Left. (Approximately 3 hour drive time)

    From Asheville: I-40W to NC 74W. NC 74W turns into NC 19/74W. Turn Right onto NC 28 just before Nantahala Gorge. Go through Stecoah and turn Left onto NC 143. Knoll Top is approximately 1 mile on the Left. (Approximately 2 hour drive time)

    From Knoxville: US 129S (Alcoa Hwy). Follow into Robbinsville, NC. Turn Left onto NC 143 (Sweetwater Road). Knoll Top is approximately 8 miles on Right. (Approximately 2 hour drive time)

    Dedicated to the way travel used to be. The room is filled with mementos of a bygone era. The pencil post bed, handmade by the innkeepers, is topped with a comfy queen size mattress and luxurious linens. Step into the bath and enjoy the oversized tiled shower with rain head to soothe the body.$125 nightly

    The School Room

    Take a trip back to walnut grove when you enter. From the classic iron bed topped with a comfy queen size mattress to antique school desk nightstand and the chalkboard alphabet plaque you will feel a time gone by. Slip into a spacious bath with claw foot tub with shower. $125 nightly The Barn Room

    It's just like being down on the farm when you enter this room. Massive rough-cut timber bed, made by the innkeepers, topped with a luxurious queen size mattress flanked by barrel nightstands. Slide open the barn-door to the spacious bath with exposed log walls and classic claw-foot tub with shower. $125 nightly

    The Birds and Blooms Suite

    While away nighttime hours in this luxurious suite. You'll enjoy the two person Jacuzzi tub or shower and double pedestal lavatories in the spacious bath. Luxurious pillow-top mattress king size bed. Awake to a gorgeous sunrise from the french doors opening to the deck overlooking the valley below. $150 nightly
