  • Introduction

Welcome to the Small B&B Cafe!

This is an unusual B&B using the site of an historic 1880 Methodist parsonage which has been refurbished into a busy breakfast and lunch cafe. One of the most unusual B&B experiences you'll find. An eclectic mix of modern and rustic furnishings with a relaxed kid and pet friendly environment. We offer a selection of local and seasonal farm-to-table breakfasts.

    Location

The Small B&B is located in the historic district of the quaint town of Pittsboro.  Easy walking distance to the main street with antique stores, vintage shops, a bakery, wine shop and night time entertainment.  Pittsboro is also the site of the county seat and the original Chatham county courthouse located in the center of town.

Pittsboro and Chatham county are home to a multitude of festivals and locals sites. The B&B is close to the Shakori Hills music festival, the annual Pepper festival, Jordan Lake,  Carolina Tiger Rescue, and Chapel Hill, just to name a few.

    Woodshed and Treehouse Rooms

These rooms have been repurposed from use as a University of NC mobile art gallery. They have a unique local history and with their corrugated metal construction, they are visually different from the usual.  They are creative/fun spaces as well as affordable. Amenities include private bathrooms, wireless, and cable.

    Guest Cottage

This unit is one of the largest available with a king and a queen sized bed as well as a kitchenette. Perfect for families, two couples or extended stays.  Perfectly ADA compliant, spacious, and creative. Amenities include, wireless, cable, well stocked kitchenette including a refridgerator, toaster oven, microwave, coffeemaker and more.

    Small Cafe

The cafe where guests will get their breakfast is a small farm to table breakfast and lunch cafe with a simple menu which features local and seasonal daily specials.  Some of the most popular items are lemon ricotta hotcakes, french toast made with an orange flower water brioche, and seasonally flavored quiches made with a  cornmeal crust. Guests are free to wander over whenever convenient for them to order whatever they want for breakfast off the menu.

    Innkeepers

Dave Clark and Lisa Piper (the owners) have been serving people for over 7 years starting with a cafe in Minneapolis.  They place a priority on making people feel welcome and comfortable.  They moved to Pittsboro to start this cafe and B&B after researching the abundant natural and organic farming resources and the arts and culture found in the community.
