    Enjoy your stay in the Village of Marshville located 25 miles from Charlotte just off Highway #74. Visit local antique shops, flea markets and nearby artist's studios, including one located in the Drake House. Wingate University is only four miles west on Highway #74 and one can find art exhibits, special lectures, musical performances and popular theatrical productions on campus. Many special events take place within an easy drive from the Drake House including the Queens Cup Steeplechase at Mineral Springs Museum of the Waxhaw's and the Waxhaw Scottish Games in the historical town of Waxhaw and a leisurely drive across the southwestern part of the Country will take you to beautiful 1,000 acre Cane Creek Park with its riding trails, boating, walking trails, and Trophy Bass lake, one of only three in North Carolina.

    Spend a restful evening in bedrooms decorated in Asian, Victorian and Moroccan motifs. Fresh fruit, gourmet candles and spring water are just some of the amenities which await guests upon their arrival. In the morning, awaken to the delicious brewed coffees from Columbia and Brazil along with homemade breads and muffins. Breakfast can include pancakes, waffles, eggs, and local fruits in season.
