    Situated between Charlotte, Asheville and Greenville at the entrance of Hickory Nut Gorge lies the historic 1930’s Lodge, the only Waterfront B&B on the Lake. It offers sweeping views and complete tranquility on a secluded peninsula at the center of the lake.

    Guests often tell us why they love to return here. Each room with its own personality and thoughtful décor makes them feel like they ar coming home.

    Enjoy the Lake from the top of our boathouse, canoe to explore the quiet coves and breathtaking views, a late afternoon pontoon ride or hike one of the well marked trails. Biltmore, Du Pont Forest and Chimney Rock Park are easy drives away. Let us pack you a delicious sandwich for your excursion and return for a glass of wine at mingling hour before joining us in The Tree Tops Dining Room during sunset for a mouth watering dinner to end a perfect day.

    Why do most travelers stay at your inn?

    Travelers love The Lodge because of its tranquil setting directly on Lake Lure. Yet there are fun things to do like canoe, fish or hike.

    What are you best known for? What makes your inn unique? What do you love most about your inn?

    The Lodge is located on one of the most beautiful lakes in North Carolina. We are a Select Registry Inn. We love to pamper our guests trying to anticipate their needs before they even know they want something. I love the Lodge because it totally envelopes you in comfort the minute you walk in the door.

    If someone has never been to your city, what is the #1 reason to come visit?

    The Lake for its serenity and beauty.

    What’s the best compliment you have ever received about the inn?

    That they felt at home in luxury.

    What’s the best kept secret about the area?

    We are a short drive from Asheville, and Charlotte, NC. Tryon, Greenville/Spartanburg, and Columbia, SC.

    Climb Chimney Rock, Visit Biltmore, Canoe on the lake, Dine in our Tree Tops Restaurant overlooking the lake.

    Peaceful sitting areas on the property. Tree Tops Dining Room on property. Golf within walking just down the hill.

    Tree Tops Dining Room

    At the Lodge at Luke Lure, guests can enjoy a culinary experience in the Tree Tops Dining Room, located on the main entrance level of the inn. Tree Tops offers panoramic lake and Blue Ridge Mountain views, indoor and outdoor seating, as well as adjoins the lodge's bar. Chef and our culinary team creates a seasonal menu, using only the best local produce, meats, artisan breads and cheeses.


    Guests can enjoy breakfast each morning in the Tree Tops Dining Room. The Lodge at Lake Lure breakfast are all made from scratch and changes daily. Breakfast is served with coffee, home-made biscuits, pastries, and muffins. Depending on the weather, it can be served indoors or out on the veranda.

    Afternoon Refreshments

    In the Lounge, guests are welcom to freshly brewed ice tea, lemonade, seasonal fruit and snacks. Hot coffee, tea, espresso drinks, and wines are served from the bar in the afternoon. At 5:00pm everyday, guests can gather in the Lounge for conversation and socializing, with complimentary treats.


    A three course dinner is available Wednesday thru Saturday evenings. Each plate will feature regional and seasonal ingredients. Please make reservations. Outside guests are welcome with advanced reservations. Please contact us at 828-625-2788.
