The Bargain Basement
Room with king bed on lower level of Guest House. Not really a basement (it has three windows), this room is named for Rich's Department Store's "Bargain Basement" which was a real jumble sale in the days before everything was discounted. It was located in Downtown Atlanta under the Rich's "Bridge", underneath the street. It was a quite a place if you wanted a good price. The price on this room hasn't been raised in ten years, and is a gift to those who don't want to pay a lot to visit Highlands. King bed, cable TV, small bath with teen-tiny shower. Considering the quality breakfast and afternoon refreshments that are included, this room has always been the best deal in Highlands.
