Mountain Laurel Rest was built in 2011 through a joint family effort. Initially, the house was meant to be a summer getaway home to escape the scorching city summers. The onsite managers, Dave and Janis Morgan, fell in love with the breathtaking beauty of the Smoky Mountains, the water falls, the friendly people and the restful and relaxing environment.
