Heathsville Haven is a North Carolina country bed and breakfast owned by a retired Christian couple. It is located in the heart of agricultural Halifax County only 1.7 miles from I-95 Exit 160 West. It can be reached as a day’s journey from either New York or Florida. A 2 bedroom/2 bathroom suite and a master bedroom suite are available. We feature elegant rooms-a feeling of country; delicious breakfasts-a taste of country; and lovely gardens-a fragrance of country.

 

We welcome you for a night as you travel or for a special planned get-a-way. Historic Halifax is only 9 miles away and beautiful Lake Gaston only 18 miles away. Fine dining, theaters, and shopping are within 15 miles north at Roanoke Rapids and within 22 miles south at Rocky Mount. Chauffeured Bed and Breakfaster and theater packages are available. We welcome well-behaved children and provisions are available for caged or leashed pets.

Breakfast - A Taste of Country

It is your choice to be served at the formal dining room table or if you prefer less formal you may dine in the den or in the office next to the rock fire place or even in the sun room. During seasonal weather meals may also be served on the carpeted deck or terrace or even in the garden. As a guest of the Executive Suite your hostess will be happy to serve your tray in your room. Your hostess is a Minister of Back to the Garden Health trained by Hallelujah Acres. Your choice will be fruit and cereal, hearty country breakfast or anything in between. Coffee and biscotti are always served. Should you prefer artificial sweeteners or soft drinks please bring your own as they are not part of Hearthsville Haven menu. Come with a good appetite and you will leave ready for achievements and challenges.

A Dream Come True At last a dream has come true for Kathryne and Haywood Hamill of Enfield. After working 46 years with Halifax Electric Membership Corporation, Kathryne's dream of a bed and breakfast is finally coming true. On Sunday October 5, a Service of Dedication was held at Antioch Baptist Church followed by an open house and a sign-hanging ceremony at Heathsville Haven Bed and Breakfast. As you stroll through the beautifully landscaped grounds you will find a"peaceful haven" away from the world's stress and turmoil. It is the way the world was meant to be.
