    The Granville Queen Inn, circa 1907, is located at the heart of Edenton, known as "the South's prettiest small town." Set right beside the waters of Albemarle Sound, this prosperous port dates back more than two centuries and is proud to have been the first capital of the province of North Carolina. Edenton was also home to many Revolutionary patriots, as well as the haunt of the infamous pirate Blackbeard.

    From the moment you step in the door, it will be our pleasure to see that your visit is a memorable escape from the daily routine. Furnishings throughout this large neoclassical manor dating back to 1907 are from Italy, China, Holland, Thailand, and England. Unusual accessories and works of art are everywhere.

    Located on Albemarle Sound’s Edenton Bay this charming village, established in 1712, features nearly three centuries of outstanding architecture behind tree-lined sidewalks and along waterfront vistas. As well as being a fine example of Victorain, and many other types, architecture Edenton, North Carolina is known for its lively downtown lined with unique shops, eateries and other businesses serving residents and visitors alike.
