    Breakfast / Luncheon / Dinner Meetings & Gatherings: We can accommodate up to 40 people for these types of meetings. The fee is determined by the menu and the number of people participating in the event. Any equipment rental requirements would be additional.

    Bridal Showers / Coffees: We can provide a variety of methods to accommodate such functions. The facility fee for events of this nature is $100.00. The catering fee is determined by the menu selections that include either Hor D' Oeuvres or full meals depending on your preference.

    Anniversary / Special Celebrations: Maximum capacity 125 people. The base fee is $500.00 for a six hour function (1 1/2 hour set up, 3 hours for the function and 1 1/2 hour for clean up). The fee includes use of the downstairs common areas (two parlors, dining room, great hall, guest kitchen and porch area). Should catering be required by the Inn personnel the catering fee is based on the number of people and the desired menu for the event. Any equipment rental requirements would be additional.

    Intimate Weddings: Capacity of 30 to 40 people. We can provide either inside or outside accommodations for an intimate ceremony. The facility fee for such an event is $500.00. The catering fee is determined by the number of people being served and the desired menu that would be selected. Any equipment rental requirements would be additional.

    Club Meetings: For service or social clubs we can accommodate groups of 25 or fewer attendees. Fee is $7.00 per person and includes beverages, desert and additional snack items. Use of one of the front parlors, the great hall and the dining room are included in the rate.

    Business Retreats / Meetings: For meetings of 25 or fewer participants Parlor rentals are $35.00 per hour (2-hour minimum). $125.00 per half day or $200.00 for a full day. The fee includes water, coffee, and soft drinks. Should catering be required the number of people being served and the desired menu would determine the catering fee. Any equipment rental requirements would be additional.

    Morning Glory Inn - Clayton, North CarolinaWelcome to Clayton's unique and authentic bed and breakfast lodging located right in the heart of town. The Morning Glory Inn is a magnificent 6400 square foot Victorian that was built in 1907. We have five large guest suites to accommodate you, each with its own private bathroom and independent temperature control. Each room is delightfully decorated with a specific floral theme, comfortable sitting areas and inviting queen or king size beds. We offer a full gourmet breakfast and afternoon tea.

    We have two comfortable parlors to relax in. The Ladies parlor is appropriately decorated with pink accents and complemented with a blue Victorian couch and arm chair, and two scarlet arm chairs. This parlor is also where our game table resides for you who enjoy various card games, checkers, chess, dominos or backgammon.

    The Men's parlor is used as a conversation area and has several current magazines to browse threw. We also have several books to get lost in during your stay. Or you can enjoy Betsy's collection of penguin and Dalmatian figurines that have been collected through the years. For those who enjoy the outdoors, our lovely wrap around porch with ceiling fans looks out over the front and side yards of our inn.

    Ladies ParlorOur media parlor provides you with a multitude of books, magazines and current newspapers to keep you up to date with what is happening in the world and in the immediate area. A television is available along with movies on tape and DVD. The other parlor is our game room that can be used for relaxing to a variety of subdued music or playing various board or card games. Our Inn is set up with several seating areas that provide the opportunity for our guests to gather in a choice of cozy settings outside of their rooms.

    For those who enjoy the outdoors, our lovely wrap around porch with ceiling fans looks out over the front and side yards of our inn. Relax while listening to the abundance of birds chirping or watch the squirrels collect nuts for the coming winter. You can also enjoy strolling around our gardens. There are quaint areas to sit and become engulfed in a book or just enjoy the beautiful foliage and the serene setting that surrounds you.

    Our delicious gourmet breakfasts are served in our tasteful dining room, or if you choose you may dine on the porch. We provide an array of hot and cold beverages with your tasty morning fare. We start off with a fresh fruit selection. The gourmet main course, which changes daily, includes a variety of egg dishes, waffles, French toast, pancakes or various breakfast casseroles along with turkey ham, bacon, sausage or ham. We add mouthwatering home baked pastries, breads or biscuits to top off a scrumptious meal that will start your day off in terrific style.

    Our Guest Kitchen is open to our guests at all hours. We provide various cold drinks and snacks that can be enjoyed in the kitchen or taken to one of the parlors or the guest's room should they so desire. There is an instant hot water dispenser available for tea, chocolate or other hot drinks that may be enjoyed by our guests. Popcorn seems to be a big hit for folks so we have plenty on hand, one needs only to pop it in the microwave for a few short minutes and then eat to their hearts content. Several home baked items are also available to satisfy ones appetite if there is a sweet tooth in the group.

    For our guests that may have dietary considerations, arrangements can be made for a special fare to start you off on the right foot.
    Upon request we provide our guests with an enjoyable afternoon tea and a selection of down home morsels.

    Clayton is located near two interstate highways, I-40 and I-95, on the western edge of Johnston County.
