Our Pineapple Room is for the light at heart! Pineapples are the symbol of hospitality, and we'd like to extend our hospitality to you as we invite you to stay in one of our favorite rooms! This room features a private bath with shower, a queen-sized bed, ceiling fan, and in-room satellite TV. It's on the upper level and is just steps from the front deck.

This room is for the serious traveler. It's actually one of our favorite rooms and is adjacent to the back verandah. You'll find it accented with old luggage and other "traveler" memorabilia. It's on our upper level and features a private hall bath with shower. You'll enjoy comfortable bedding on a queen-sized bed, quality linens, ceiling fan, and in-room satellite TV.

This room has been recently updated and is perfect for romantic getaways! It features a private bath with a 2-person whirlpool tub, separate 6-head shower, and a queen-sized bed. You won’t have to leave the room unless you choose to! Located on the first floor, it’s just steps away from our front veranda which is a great place to sit, relax and people watch while listening to the ocean or sipping your morning coffee.

Our Birdhouse Room is bright and cheerful, and you'll find birds or their homes at every glance. This room has its own private bath with shower. It's on the upper level and is central to both the front and back decks. Looking for romance or just want the extra comforts of home? This two-room suite promises a little of both. A corner room located on the upper level, it features a private bath with many recent upgrades and a dual-head showerhead to be used together or separately. In the bedroom, you'll get lost in the big, fluffy comforter, high-end sheets and extra pillows or step on over to your den where we invite you to get cozy in our overstuffed couch, watch some TV or simply unwind. This suite is all about comfort and romance, so we've added a few things that none of our other rooms offer, including TV and VCR, sitting room/den, breakfast served in your room (should you choose), CD player, games, and dual-head shower. Standard features also include ceiling fan, robe, hair dryer, and wireless Internet. It is just a few steps from the back deck, where we encourage you to sit, relax and enjoy the outdoors! A rollaway cot can be used in the second room for children/adults over 12 for an extra fee. Both rooms approximately 12 x 10.

• Smoking in the guest rooms is not allowed and will result in a $150 fee.
• Kitchen is off-limits to Inn guests. Please keep any leftovers that you'd like to keep cold in guest refrigerators on both levels of the Inn.
• Please keep TVs and music turned down after 10pm
• Check-In is 4:00 PM (unless previously arranged)
• Check-Out time is 11:00 AM (unless previously arranged)

• The Beacon House is not responsible for loss of any money or valuables.

• Children under 12 yrs not allowed in the Inn. (The Inn is more of an adult retreat and is really not very childproofed so we do discourage children under 12.)
• Cancellation Policy
  • March-October: A refund will be given if the cancellation occurs 28 days before the arrival date. If a cancellation occurs WITHIN 28 days of the arrival date, the deposit will be forfeited UNLESS we are able to book the room(s) for the nights that were canceled. Reservations canceled with less than a 2-week notice will be charged 1 night in addition to the deposit, except Holidays which require a 50% non-refundable deposit and must be canceled 28 days prior or will be charged the full amount of the reservation.
  • November-February: Reservations canceled with less than a 3-day notice will be charged 1 night, except Holidays which require a 50% non-refundable deposit and must be canceled 28 days prior or will be charged the full amount of the reservation.
• Hurricane Policy
  • We understand and respect the concern and apprehension that may arise from an approaching hurricane. Foremost, we recommend guests concerned about this possibility purchase vacation insurance.
  • If the weather service issues a hurricane advisory or warning:
  • Guests residing at the inn may choose to evacuate. In this case, we will charge only for those nights spent with us up to the time of the evacuation.
  • For those guests with pending arrivals, we would retain the deposit and credit it to a future stay.
  • If there is no hurricane advisory or warning (ie. there is not an imminent threat): For a vacation to be canceled because a hurricane "might" make landfall near Carolina Beach or that there "might" be an aftermath, deposits will not be refunded and will not be credited to a future stay (UNLESS we are able to book the room(s) for the nights that were canceled).
  • If a hurricane has made landfall and The Beacon House Inn (or the island) is not "fit" for guests: For guests with pending reservations affected by such a situation, we would retain the deposit and apply it to a future stay.
