The Captain's Room
Enjoy the mountain view from your windows in this spacious room. Beautifully decorated in tones of burgundy and gold with pale lemon grass yellow walls, the Captain's Room features a luxurious king size bed and two armoires. The claw foot tub with enclosed shower in the European style in-room bath adds to the charm of this room. Sit by the fire on the comfortable sofa with a good book or just relax and watch TV.
The Howell Room
Named after the family who lived here for 44 years, this room features a gorgeous queen size high-rise four poster bed. Enjoy the warmth of the fireplace that still has the carved wood mantle with an inset mirror. In addition to the private bath that features an octagonal widow and stall corner shower, there is a water closet with original marble sink. This room has three large windows, a ceiling fan, and cable TV.
The Mary Hoyt Room
Awaken to a mountain view in this corner room that was originally built for Mary Hoyt, the Captain's daughter. Snuggle on the love seat tucked in a cozy alcove in front of plantation-shuttered windows. The Mary Hoyt room features a Victorian style queen bed with a unique curved head and foot board with matching night tables, a ceiling fan, and fireplace. A large, private bath with a claw foot tub is perfect for soaking away the day.
The Vineyard View Room
Feel the warmth in this richly decorated corner room with plantation shutters and cozy sitting area. Look out the window and enjoy the mountain views where the Captain's vineyards once graced the property. The full private bath has a claw foot tub/shower and pedestal sink. There is also an adjoining water closet with the original marble sink. The Vineyard View room features a luxurious king size bed, cable TV, a fireplace, dressing table and ceiling fan.
The Engadine Suite
Named after the mansion built by Captain John K. Hoyt, this very private and romantic two room suite is on the top floor of the inn. The bedroom features a king-size bed, antique armoire and beautiful desk. The living room has all the comforts of home: a beautiful fireplace, sofa, coffee table, end tables and cable TV. The spacious bathroom features a romantic two person whirlpool tub and pedestal sink.
Blue Ridge Mountains Log Cabin
Our Blue Ridge Mountains log cabin sits on a knoll with peaceful mountain and forest views from the covered porch. It is named for our Blue Ridge Mountains, home of the Blue Ridge Parkway, its limitless outdoor activities and breathtaking scenery.

Smoky Mountains Log Cabin
Our Smoky Mountains log cabin is cozy with covered porch with beautiful views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. This cabin is named for the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, just 45 miles west of the cabin.

Looking Glass Log Cabin
Our Looking Glass Log Cabin features a covered porch with a sweeping view of the Blue Ridge Mountains. It is named for the nearby mountain and waterfall in Pisgah National Forest, just 30 miles from the cabin.

The Balsam Mountain Cabin features lots of windows in the living area and a large deck to enjoy the great outdoors. It is named for the nearby mountain near the Blue Ridge Parkway.

Cherokee Log Cabin
The Cherokee Log Cabin near Asheville is situated on a hilltop overlooking the Inn, with beautiful mountain views from the front porch. It is named for the Eastern Band of the Cherokee Indians, located just 40 miles west of our cabins at the entrance of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Inside, an open floor plan in this luxury cabin provides plenty of room with the following features:

We reserve the Cherokee cabin for a maximum of two adult guests. If you are travelling with babies or children, please consider one of our other cabins that are suitable for families.

Mt. Mitchell Log Cabin
The Mt. Mitchell Log Cabin near Asheville is situated on a hilltop overlooking the Inn. Our largest cabin is named for the highest peak in the Eastern United States, located north of Asheville along the Blue Ridge Parkway.
The mountain view from the front porch of this cabin is spectacular! It offers luxury and privacy with the following features:
Two bedrooms: the upstairs master bedroom has a king bed and the second bedroom on the first floor has a queen bed.
Two full baths, one has whirlpool tub for two and separate shower

Policies
Asheville Mountain Cabin Rental Reservation Policies
- Deposits: Honey Hill is a unique, privately-owned property where every guest reservation is handled on an individual, personalized basis. Because of that, we require a deposit to guarantee a cabin. Your deposit insures that your accommodation will be available as confirmed.
- Up to four (4) nights stay – deposit equal to one (1) night's stay is required.
- Five (5) or more nights and special packages – a 25% deposit of the total is required.
- Group Reservations - 25% of the entire group reservation (all rooms/cabins for all nights) is required
- For longer-term rentals of eight (8) nights or more, we require payment in full at the time the reservation is made. All cancellation and early check-out policies apply.

Cancellations & Refunds: - If you cancel at least fourteen (14) days prior to your scheduled arrival date, we will refund your deposit minus a $25 per room/cabin processing fee. Exceptions: For group reservations, whole house/property bookings, special packages and events, and reservations during the month of October, we require a thirty (30) day cancellation notice.
- If you cancel less than fourteen 14 days prior to your arrival date, or thirty (30) days prior for the exceptions noted above, we cannot refund your deposit. If you cancel within two (2) days of arrival, depart early, or arrive late, you will be responsible for the full amount of the reservation.
- Your deposit insures that your accommodations will be available as confirmed. It also insures us that the accommodations are sold as confirmed, meaning that we have taken your room or cabin “off the market” for the dates you requested. Therefore, please understand that if situations arise that require you to cancel within the abovementioned timeframes, we certainly sympathize, but we must adhere to our business policy of no refunds. Of course, if we are able to rebook your room or cabin for the dates you reserved, we will be happy to refund your deposit.
- Check-in and Check-out: Check-in is from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Please call us if you are delayed or expect to arrive later than 7:00 PM. Check-out is 11:00 AM.
- Smoking: For the safety and comfort of our guests, smoking is not permitted in any of the cabins. Smoking is permitted on the cabin porches only. Please use the ashtrays we have provided for you. Smoking anywhere in the cabins can result in a $250 cleaning fee, which will automatically be charged to your credit card.

Damages: Your cabin will be inspected for property damage after check-out, including missing amenities. We reserve the right to seek payment for any expenses incurred for repair or replacement. - Capacity/Occupancy: Each cabin has a maximum capacity, which is determined by county regulations. Rates are based on double occupancy, unless otherwise stated in the cabin description. Additional guests, including children over the age of three (3) will be charged $10 per day.
- Children: Children of all ages are welcome in our cabins with the exception of our Cherokee cabin, which is reserved for two (2) adults only.
- Linens: Additional linens are provided for cabins with a sofa bed or air mattress. Rollaway beds are not available in the cabins. A “Pack-n-Play” is available upon request.
- Pets: Dogs are allowed in our three pet-friendly cabins . Guests travelling with dogs will be required to sign a Pet Waiver form at check-in. There is a one-time, non-refundable pet cleaning charge of $25. The Blue Ridge, Looking Glass and Great Smoky Cabins are dog friendly and will accommodate dogs weighing up to 35 lbs. There is a limit to one dog per cabin. Any exceptions are at the innkeepers' discretion. If undisclosed pets of any kind are discovered, we reserve the right to charge the applicable fees and/or require that the guests depart the property immediately. Early departure policies will apply. - Fireplaces: Each cabin has a gas fireplace, wood burning fireplace, or gas-fired stove. These are operational from October 1 – March 31.
- Taxes: Rates and items for purchase are subject to North Carolina State Lodging Tax and any applicable Sales Taxes.
