Welcome to Terrell House Bed & Breakfast!

This lovely North Carolina bed and breakfast is located in a nice, quiet neighborhood within walking distance to the Burnsville town square, shops, and restaurants. The Terrell House is a restored, early 1900's colonial built as a girl's dormitory for the Stanley McCormick School. The bed and breakfast inn has six lovely guest rooms, each with private bath, sitting area, and queen or twin beds. The Parlor is just right for visiting with other guests or reading a good book by the fireplace.

A special full breakfast is served on fine china in the formal dining room.

Located, along with Asheville, in the middle mountains of North Carolina, Burnsville is the perfect "base camp" for your smoky mountain vacation. Known for its beautiful town square, Burnsville is also the county seat for Yancey County. Nestled among these Appalachian Mountain peaks, Burnsville is at an elevation of 2,815 feet. Yancey County is home to Mt. Mitchell (at 6,684 feet, the highest mountain east of the Mississippi) and 18 additional peaks with elevations exceeding 6,300 feet. There are over 100 miles of hiking trails in Yancey County. Burnsville, and the surrounding region, boasts of more crafters and artisans per capita than anywhere else in the United States. Terrell House is located in Burnsville NC. Built in the 1920"s, this lovely two-story Colonial style Bed and Breakfast Inn features 6 uniquely decorated rooms, each with their own private bath, a shaded patio, library parlor and two fireplaces.

Catering to small and medium weddings and receptions (up to 90 people), we can cover all the details for you, food to flowers, photography to wedding cakes, so that all you and your guests have to do is relax and enjoy themselves as they celebrate with you this most special occasion.

And don’t worry about lodging for you and your overnight guests. We can include in your wedding package a 2 night stay for up to 14 guests at our lovely Inn.

Terrell House is an easy ten minute walk to historic downtown Burnsville with its quaint shops, delis and coffeehouses that surround a public square where you just might catch a mountain musical festival or Toe River art show. Burnsville is a true mountain community with its cool summer breezes, clean air and easy pace.

There are plenty of activities for your wedding party, too – everything from nearby championship golf courses to hiking.
