Breakfast varies from day to day, and may include such specialties as eggs benedict, corn fritters, french toast stuffed with bananas and walnuts, apple brown betty or pecan waffles smothered with fried apples.

A Spectacular Appalachian Setting
Bryson City is just 60 miles west of Asheville on US-74 at the southern edge of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Nestled in a picturesque valley between the National Park and the Nantahala National Forest, Bryson City is the perfect setting for a mountain getaway - a quiet country town on the banks of a swift mountain river, surrounded by lush forests, rolling pastures and rugged mountain peaks.
Swain County is a recreational paradise. Just a few steps from the Folkestone, there's hiking, waterfalls, trout fishing and horseback riding at Deep Creek (pictured) in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. There's mountain biking on the famous Tsali trails, fishing on Fontana Lake, sightseeing on the Great Smoky Mountains Scenic Railroad and whitewater rafting on the Nantahala River just 25 minutes from the Folkestone.
