History of the 1899 Wright Inn and Carriage House
Once known fondly by local residents as "Faded Glory," the totally restored Wright Inn, circa 1899, as a private residence for Osella B. and Leva Wright. Today, The Wright Inn, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, one of Asheville's finest Bed and Breakfast Inns, with all the modern conveniences is upscale lodging.

The Wright Inn & Carriage House is conveniently located on
the northwest side of Asheville just off the I-240 loop.
If traveling West on I-240:
- At end of ramp (a traffic light) turn right.
- You will be on Montford Avenue and from that point, travel .7 of a mile to Watauga Street (one block past Waneta Street).
- Make a left turn on to Watauga Street and travel one block - Watauga ends at Pearson Drive.
- We are on the left corner, a big gray and white Victorian.
- Pull around to the front to check-in and to unload luggage; parking will be in the rear of the house.
If traveling East on I-240:
- At end of ramp (a traffic light) turn right (Haywood Street). At next corner (a traffic light) turn right.
- Your will be on Montford Avenue and from that point, travel .8 of a mile to Watauga Street (one block past Waneta Street).
- Make a left turn on to Watauga Street and travel one block - Watauga ends at Pearson Drive.
- We are on the left corner, a big gray and white Victorian.
- Pull around to the front to check-in and to unload luggage; parking will be in the rear of the house.
