The dining room is furnished with a collection of antiques, including an early 17th century, English hanging corner cupboard that houses a collection of English Toby mugs, a Windsor, late 18th century pine settle, and an ornately carved Empire sideboard. The carved alabaster light fixture and matching wall sconces are original to the house.

The Living room is warm and inviting with a comfortable sofa and wing back chairs, a fireplace for the warm glow in the fall and winter, and a respite from the every day stress. You can enjoy playing checkers or backgammon at our game table or simply curl up with a book or magazine while listening to the 1904 Baby Grand player piano. We are best known for our gardens and orchids, the casual elegance, the garden and our very large common rooms.

Our best compliment is when we hear how guests feel so welcome and comfortable, like they are visiting family or friends.

The best kept secret in Asheveille are the temperate seasons and its vibrant downtown.
If a traveler is staying at your inn for 4 nights, what should he/she do in the area?
For those staying more than a couple of nights we recommend The River Art District, the Biltmore Estate, the Mountain’s Blue Ridge Parkway, and the artistic culture theatre.
Is there anything within walking distance of your inn?
We are walking distance to restaurants, shopping, antiquing, The Thomas Wolfe House, the U.S. Cellular center, The Art Museum, and The Orange Peel Music venue.
What is your favorite restaurant/food in the area?
There are several great restaurants, depending on the mood. Curate is a great dining option.
