The Biltmore Suite

The Biltmore Suite is a large bedroom and sitting room combination. Both the 19' x 14' bedroom and the 11' x 15' sitting room have bay windows overlooking the grounds and mountains. The king-sized estate bed is unbelievably comfortable. The private bath features a single Jacuzzi tub as well as a separate shower. The Persian Heriz rug is semi-antique. The sitting room has a black queen-sized Sealy Posturepedic sleeper sofa to enjoy watching the 32" widescreen HDTV. Maximum occupancy of four adults ($38 each for third and fourth person per night).

The Reed Room

This luxurious ground floor guestroom with king-sized bed overlooking the porch and has fantastic views of the mountains. In the bay window is a comfortable Victorian loveseat perfectly situated to watch a movie on the 32" widescreen HDTV with DVD player, or relax near the fireplace. The Reed Room looks out over the wrap-around porch. The king-sized bath (14' x 15') has a double whirlpool tub, separate shower, and is one of three in the house with a fireplace in the bathroom.

The Vanderbilt Room

Our most popular room, the richly-appointed Vanderbilt Room has a king-sized mahogany poster bed with reeded posts carved with ribbons, as does the canopy frame. The hand-carved mahogany entertainment center is adorned with acanthus leaves, flowers, and blind fretwork. These are reproductions of 18th-century pieces. In the large bay window overlooking on the 100-year-old oak trees is a luxurious white Chinese Chippendale sofa. The very large bath is 14' x 12', and has an enormous double whirlpool tub, from which you can enjoy the fireplace, as you can from the glass-surrounded separate shower. A large flat-screen TV and DVD player are also included.

The Wingate Room

The warm and bright Wingate Room is a generous 14' x 17', and has partial views of the eastern mountains. Near the fireplace is a 32" widescreen HDTV. Includes an antique French bureau and an armoire imported from Belgium. The generous bathroom includes a large whirlpool tub and separate shower.

The Honeymoon Room

The Honeymoon room is located in the cottage built around the turn of the century. Just a few steps from the mansion, the Honeymoon room has its own porch where you may enjoy fantastic views of the mountains. The charming bedroom has an excellent queen-sized bed, gas log fireplace and a 32" widescreen HDTV. There is a two-person heart-shaped whirlpool tub, separate glassed-in shower, and another gas log fireplace in the bathroom.

The Carolina Suite

Our pet-friendly, very private accomodation, the Carolina Suite is located adjacent to the mansion, and consists of a large bedroom with a queen-sized bed, a modern bath with a whirlpool and shower, and a pleasant, sunny sitting room. The bedroom has a four-poster bed with intricate carving and posts. The porch, at second-floor level, is surrounded by Leyland Cypress, overlooks the rose garden, and has very comfortable wicker chairs for relaxing while you enjoy a glass of wine or morning coffee.

The Penthouse Suite

Enjoy the elite status accompanied by a stay in our newest, largest and lavishly furnished suite. The Penthouse Suite commands over 800 square feet of living space occupying the entire third floor of our villa. The room will peak your architectural interests when you gaze at the unique roof lines entering into the rooms. Your bedroom has a King-sized bed and features a small bar in the adjacent nook so that you will not have to head downstairs for refreshments. Lounge in the spacious living room or relax in the bright Tower Room for morning reading with your freshly brewed coffee. Finally, you can catch the headlines or your favorite show on any of the (3) televisions in your suite.

Policies

• Room rates range from $220-$335/night (plus tax), which includes a full gourmet, 3-course breakfast served at 9am. Our inn has a guest pantry stocked with soft drinks, water, ice, coffeemaker, glassware, champagne buckets, etc¦ available to our guests 24 hours/7 days a week.
• We offer complimentary wine and cheese from 4:30-6pm to be enjoyed on our wrap-around porch or in our formal parlor.
• When you confirm a reservation with us, you are entering into a verbal contract that is somewhat different from a hotel reservation. Hotels overbook on the assumption that guests may not show up. We only have 7 rooms, so in our case, if you reserve a room, we guarantee that you will have accommodations. You, as our guest, guarantee payment subject to the cancellation policy stated below and any terms that are agreed upon over the telephone or Internet. Each reservation requires a guarantee with an advance deposit by MasterCard, Visa, Discover or American Express. One night or 50% of your total stay (whichever is greater) is required as a deposit. Cancellations require a 21-day notice, and will be subject to a rebooking fee of $35. Within 21 days of your reservation start date, the deposit will be forfeited, unless the room can be rebooked. Early departures from your original reservation are also included in this cancellation policy. A 'no-show' with no cancellation or cancellation notice of less than 48 hours is subject to be charged for the entire stay. This includes any possible booking errors made on-line or by travel agents.
• Check-ins are from 3-6 p.m. Early (before 3pm) and late check-ins (after 6pm) must be approved in advance. We attempt to minimize late check-ins to avoid disturbing our other guests. In the event of a late evening arrival, please contact us to make special arrangements.
• We cheerfully accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express and cash. Gift cards/certificates from some websites may also be accepted as payment. Please verify with us if we can accept these certificates from the source that you have. Also note that there is an $8 gift card fee charged per certificate if (3) or more are used to pay for the same stay.
• We are a NON-SMOKING inn, including the porches and grounds. Failure to comply with our policy in your room will result in a $300 service charge to completely clean the room.
• Any damage to the rooms or articles in the rooms caused by neglect on the part of a guest will be the responsibility of the guest and appropriate charges for the repair or replacement of damages will be charged to the room.
• Well-behaved dogs/cats of a moderate size are allowed in the Carolina Suite and the Honeymoon Room. A $25 charge per night/per pet will be added to your room rate. We offer water bowls and treats in your room. We expect that you would treat our home as you would your own and respect our pet policies. All pets must be current on yearly shots and flea prevention regimen. Deposit clean up bags are offered and requested to be used when walking your dog. Extra towels and sheets are provided to cover and protect our furniture. We prefer a crate if you plan on leaving your pet for an extended period during your stay. Please make certain that your pet is familiar with traveling away from home and will be comfortable (and quiet) if left alone while you are out exploring Asheville. An emergency contact number (your cell phone) must be provided to us, should we need to contact you while in Asheville. Please talk with your innkeeper if you wish to arrange to have your dog walked during your stay.
• Children are allowed in the Biltmore Suite or the Carolina Suite. Due to our small dining room, we are not able to accommodate children under the age of 10 years old. We respect that most of our guests come to our inn for a romantic getaway and have made prior arrangements to spend quality time away from their children.
