Bartok's Retreat
Bartok's Retreat is a bright room with a view of the tree-tops and the song birds which inspired the composer's Third Piano Concerto. The western exposure offers a lovely view of the Blue Ridge Mountains in the distance. A queen-size sleigh bed and an additional twin bed in a dormer alcove provide sleeping room for three. Other furnishings include two very comfortable upholstered chairs. The room is decorated with a lovely floral wallpaper in greens, sand, rust and deep red. The cozy bath has a dormer roof which slopes over the clawfoot tub/shower combination and limits the ceiling height.

Old Oak
One of the original parlors, Old Oak is a front room with a nearly floor to ceiling window overlooking the veranda. As its name implies, the room is furnished with a carved antique oak headboard, matching dresser and burled oak armoire. A Waverly loveseat in festive shades of wine, hunter green, and gold is complemented by a unique embossed wallpaper in warm caramel tones to provide a comfortable spot for reading or just relaxing.

Juliet's Chamber
An elegant and romantic corner room, Juliet's Chamber features its own private balcony overlooking the gardens and the stately Norway spruce trees that flank the inn's Corinthian columns. On a clear evening, the moon can be seen shining through the trees. Furnished with a beautiful rice-carved queen-size four-poster canopy bed, matching dresser, armoire and two comfortable wingback chairs, in-room coffee and tea service, burgundy damask linens, and rich velvet window treatment, Juliet's Chamber is decorated in rich tones of camel, deep blue and rose.

The Royal Hideaway
This is our largest room. The beautiful carved oak queen-size half canopy bed is accompanied by a matching marble-topped dresser and bedside tables. A twin bed in a dormer alcove provides additional sleeping space. The luxurious marble accented bath is dominated by a two-person whirlpool tub and European shower. The spacious sitting area, perfect for relaxing with coffee or a book, is furnished with a Queen Ann loveseat and chairs and offers an antique table with a coffee and tea service. The room is decorated with a floral and striped wallpaper in soft beige, peach and teal.

Sunrise Suite
Sunrise Suite is an elegant bedroom and sitting room combination. The spacious bedroom features a magnificent king-size carved mahogany canopied bed with matching dresser. The walls of this classic room are covered with an exquisite period wallpaper in the tones of an early summer morning - soft butter yellow, pale blue and sage green. The bed is canopied with complementary fabric and features a goosedown quilt and European linens. The enclosed sunporch overlooking the grounds features an antique tea cart with in-room coffee and tea service and is furnished with plants and a comfortable wicker loveseat and armchair -- just the place to enjoy your morning coffee or peruse a good book.

The Garden
The Garden is a special favorite of friends or families traveling together as it features two large beds, one queen-size and one double. A bright corner room on the second floor overlooking the veranda and front lawn, the Garden is furnished entirely in white wicker with two comfortable armchairs for reading. The Garden is decorated with a fresh blue, white and green hydrangea wallpaper. Hand stenciled greenery accent the bath.

Vanity Fair
Vanity Fair is one of the inn's most spacious rooms, elegantly furnished with a queen-size canopy bed with a matching dresser and lady's marble topped dressing table. The period burgundy custom made canopy and bed linens are matched by the comfortable loveseat that is ideal for relaxing with a book in the afternoon or for a enjoying a quiet moment together. Our female guests love the feeling of getting ready for an evening out on the town like a woman at the turn-of-the century seated at the marble-topped lady's vanity table for which the room is named. The comfortable loveseat opens into a single bed.

Ribbons & Roses
A light corner room on the first floor, Ribbons & Roses is furnished with a charming brass Victorian queen bed and other period pieces, including an armoire. The bed is nestled in a corner and framed by a magnificent mural created by a local artist which depicts a garden wall with cascading roses. A working fireplace completes this romantic and inviting room.

Shangri La
A little bit of France in the North Carolina Mountains, this charming, cozy room features a skylight over the antique brass and enamel queen-size bed. Two comfortable French ladderback chairs with toile country French fabric cushions are located in a small alcove. The matching custom-made toile bedding and window treatments are echoed in the bath which offers an antique clawfoot tub/shower combination set in a nook with a sloping roof.

Reynolds Room
Named for Carl Reynolds, the first owner of the residence, this corner room on the west side of the inn is filled with the afternoon sunshine through its four windows and offers a view of the Blue Ridge Mountains in the distance. The room features a lovely cherry king-size bed with matching marble-topped bureau, two comfortable wing backed chairs and soft blue and gold period wallpaper. Beautiful European linens coordinate with an interesting window treatment. The antique dresser and walk-in closet provide lots of storage. The bath includes a separate tile stall shower in addition to the clawfoot tub which is nestled in a cozy nook.

Blue Ridge
A bright corner room with two walls of windows decorated in fresh blue and white. The king-size brass and ivory enameled iron bed is topped with a half canopy. The custom bed linens and coordinating window treatments feature a classic ginger jar motif. Two upholstered reading chairs and a period armoire complete the room.

Be pampered in one of our luxurious period guest rooms each of which offers a private bath with an antique claw-foot soaking tub/shower combination or a two-person jetted tub and shower, fragrant bath products, fluffy duvets and cozy robes, hairdryers and fresh flowers. If you absolutely must contact the outside world, we do have wireless access.

Reservation Information and Policies
- Guest rooms range from $170 - $350 per night in standard season and $170 - $370 per night in the month of October.
- In rooms that will accommodate more than two people, each additional guest is $45 per night.
- Most weekends require a two-night minimum stay.
- A three-night minimum is required on some holiday and high season weekends.
- Please ask about our winter and business rates.
- Specials and packages are offered; check availability.
- All rates include a full gourmet breakfast and evening refreshments.
- Reservations may be made by calling 800-621-7435 or 828-255-0027.
- A deposit of one night or 50% (whichever is greater) is required to guarantee your reservation.
- This can be paid with a credit card or check.
- The Inn accepts VISA, MasterCard and Discover cards, cash and checks.
- A "group booking" occurs if you reserve four or more guest rooms. A deposit of 50% is required for a group booking. The remaining balance is due no later than 30 days prior to arrival for group bookings.
- Cancellations/Changes
- You have up to 14 days prior to your arrival date to cancel with only a $35.00 service charge for a single night reservation or a $25.00 service charge for each night cancelled of a multiple night reservation.
- Check-in is between 3 and 7 PM and check-out is at 11 AM. Special arrangements can be made for late check-in.
- Biltmore Estate Tickets: You may purchase your Biltmore Estate tickets from us.
- Gift certificates are available for any dollar amount and are valid for one year from date of purchase. Please contact us for details.
