       Surrounded by mature trees and other period homes, this award-winning Inn is located in Asheville's Montford Historic District on the National Register of Historic Places.

    The Inn features stylishly appointed suites and rooms designed for comfort. Each has a king-size bed, bath with whirlpool and shower, working fireplace, wall-mounted flat screen TV and DVD player.

    The house is winner of the Preservation Society's prestigious Griffin Award.
    Our English style gardens have won "Best in the County" award.

    Two-and-a-half miles across town to Biltmore Estate, 15 minutes to the Blue Ridge Parkway and  a half-mile to Downtown Asheville, you can walk to dining from Abbington Green Bed & Breakfast. It'sthe perfect location for enjoying Asheville's sites and activities.

    Designed by Biltmore Estate's Supervising Architect in the early 1900s, the inn has a British theme. You'll find furniture and furnishings that reflect both Old World as well as the new. The theme is also reflected in the six award-winning English garden areas around the house.
     

    Living RoomGenuine and relaxed hospitality are  hallmarks of Abbingotn Green. Our main-floor rooms are just the place to relax, play chess or piano or just curl up with a good book. Or have a lively conversation with friends on our expansive front porch, decks, veranda or in the gardens. And you'll enjoy a gourmet breakfast each day in our Dining Room made from mainly organic and local ingredients.

    Each of our suites and rooms  features a king-size bed with custom bed drapes, fine fabrics and bed linens, private bath with whirlpool with shower above, wall-mounted flatscreen TV with DVD,  working fireplace and seasonal air conditioning.

    Make reservations for Asheville lodging with us at Abbington Green for an alternative to hotel accommodations. Upon arrival at Asheville, NC, follow these directions to our bed and breakfast.

    Traveling from the East via I-40 West: Exit I-40 at Exit 53. Follow signs onto I-240 into Asheville. Take Exit 4C (Montford Avenue). At top of exit ramp, turn right (north) at traffic light onto Montford Avenue. At next traffic signal, turn right onto Chestnut Street. Go one block to flashing signal. Turn left onto Cumberland Avenue. Proceed about three blocks, bear right onto Cumberland Circle. We are the 6th house on the left. There's a sign out front for Abbington Green. Come up the driveway. Ample parking behind the inn.

    Traveling from the South & from Asheville Airport via Rte I-26 or from West & Great Smoky Mountains National Park via I-40 East: I-26 and I-40 meet at Asheville. Take exit onto I-240. Travel about 4 miles to Exit 4C (Montford Avenue). At top of ramp, turn right at traffic light. Go one block to next light and turn right (north) onto Montford Avenue. Go about 1/4 mile to traffic light at Chestnut Street, turn right onto Chestnut. Go one block to flashing signal. Turn left onto Cumberland Avenue. Proceed about three blocks, bear right onto Cumberland Circle. We are the 6th house on the left. There's a sign out front for Abbington Green. Come up the driveway. Ample parking behind the inn.

    Traveling from North/West via Rte. 19/23 or I-26 East: Exit at #25, University of North Carolina. At bottom of ramp, turn left at light on Broadway. Pass through 2 traffic lights. After 2nd traffic light, turn right on 2nd road (Cauble Street) at Citgo Convenience store. Go up hill one block to stop sign. Turn hard right onto Cumberland Circle. Abbington Green is 3rd house on left. There's a sign out front. Come up the driveway to check-in. Ample parking behind the inn.

    Traveling from Biltmore Estate: Abbington Green is approx. 2 3/4 miles north, across town from Biltmore Estate entrance. As you leave Biltmore, turn hard left at light onto McDowall Ave. (You will immediately be on bridge). Go approx. 1 3/4 miles (its name has changed to Asheland), it dead-ends at "T" intersection. Turn left onto Patton Ave. Go to 2nd light and turn right onto French Broad Ave. Go 2 blocks to dead-end. Turn left,go about 4 car-lengths to light. Turn right on bridge (Montford Ave.) Go 1/4 mile to light at West Chestnut Street, turn right. Go one block to flashing yellow signal, turn left (Cumberland Avenue). Proceed 3 blocks, road splits, bear RIGHT onto Cumberland Circle. Abbington Green is 6th house on the left side of street. There's a sign in front. Come up the driveway to check-in. Ample parking is behind the inn.
