    Room 1 - Emily Dickinson Charming queen suite with two rooms and three beautiful windows looking out over the village and Lake Champlain. Romantic canopy bed in bedroom, with a comfortable sitting room with built-in TV and view of the Library Lawn. Private bath with tub & shower. $100 - $139
    Room 2 - Marcel Proust Spacious room with king bed, built in cabinet and desk overlooking Ballard Park, Lake Champlain and with majestic views of the green mountains. Private bath with tub & shower. $106 - $147
    Room 3 - William Shakespeare Antique four poster double bed with scenic views of Lake Champlain & the Green Mountains. Private bath with shower. $78 - $115
    Room 4 - J.R.R. Tolkien Spacious room with king bed, built-ins and views of Lake Champlain & the Green Mountains. Private bath with tub & shower. $106 - $147
    Room 5 - Oscar Wilde Magnificent suite with entranceway, romantic four-poster king bed, sitting room with built-in TV/surround-sound, marble-floored bathroom, exquisite decoration throughout, and incredible views of Lake Champlain. Private bath with tub & shower. $121 - $185
    Room 6 - James Fenimore Cooper Large, quiet and serene Adirondack style room with two double beds. Private bath with tub & shower. $97 - $135
    Room 7 - Edgar Allan Poe Lovely, quaint, quiet room with antique brass double bed with built-in dresser. Private bath with shower. $71 - $99
    Room 8 - William Blake Quite, large, comfortable room with two double beds. Private bath with shower. $93 - $129
    Room 9 - Ayn Rand Charming, pretty room with double bed. Private bath with tub & shower. $89 - $132
    Room 10 - Peter S. Beagle Mini Suite with king bed, built in TV and windows overlooking the Library Lawn. Cozy alcove with window seat and table/desk. Private bath with tub & shower. $100 - $139
    Room 101 - Lewis Carroll This ground floor suite features a queen bed in the main room, and a twin bed in the second room, (optional inflatable bed available for additional guest). Both rooms have cable TV with an Xbox connected to the second room TV (you are welcome to bring your own games) There is also a built in desk. The Lewis Carroll suite has its own entrance in the back of the Inn, and is available from May thru October.

    This room is not available from November thru March. This is the only room in the inn that has a single blow up bed. The room charge is for double occupancy, there is a $30. charge per extra guest.

  • Policies

    • Reservations can be secured with a 50% deposit with the balance due upon arrival.
    • Full refunds will be given for cancellations requested more than 14 days prior to scheduled arrival.
    • A two night minimum reservation is required for July and August weekends. The room rates are higher during the high demand weekends for Dudley.
    • Rates are based on double occupancy, plus taxes. (There is a $30.00 charge per extra guest) Room 1 can accommodate a third guest. Room 2, 3, 4, 7, 9 and 10 can only accommodate one or two guest comfortably. Only rooms #6 and #8 can accommodate four guest comfortably in the room. Room #5 is for adults 16 years and older and one or two guest only. Due to the historic nature of the Inn, each room can accommodate only the number of individuals as confirmed in the reservation. If the number of individuals in your party increases, contact us for additional room availability. The Inn does not have cots or roll-away beds.
    • Check-in is from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. If you plan on arriving after 8:00 p.m., please let us know so that we can arrange for a late check-in. This will entail providing a 100% deposit, and then receiving instructions on how to obtain access to the building and your room.
    • Check-out is 11:00 a.m. Late check-out service is provided upon request at the rate of $30.00 an hour for a maximum of two hours.
    • Smoking is not allowed anywhere in the building. There are smoking areas available on our patio and other outdoor areas. A $150 cleaning fee will be charged for any evidence of smoking within the guest rooms or in the building. Due to the fire hazard, candles are not allowed.
    • Sorry, we cannot accommodate your pets.
