The Antrim Room
Fast becoming a Caldwell House favorite! The Antrim Room was once the owner's quarters. It is a beautiful first floor bedroom (our only) w/ a Fireplace, large HDTV/ DVD, seclusion, and quiet.
Once the Owner's Quarters, we have added the Antrim Room to our group of rooms available for guests. It has fast become a favorite of our guests. Tucked away in the back corner of the first floor of the house, this room offers a tranquility and quiet that allows you to leave the hustle and bustle of every day life. The beautiful wood burning fireplace offers the opportunity to add a level of romance not found in any hotel room. The birds chirping in the backyard serve as a natural "alarm clock" just in case the aroma of Dena's wonderful breakfast hasn't already woken you!

The Butter Hill Room
The Butter Hill Room at Caldwell House is a welcome change from Hudson Valley hotels for New York State vacations and weekend getaways. Recalling the former name of nearby Storm King Mountain, this charming room in our New York B&B is thoughtfully furnished with a handsome queen-size sleigh bed, a comfortable easy chair, an English armoire, historic 19th century engravings on the buttercup yellow walls, and a beautiful Empire-style bureau. In the roomy private bath, there is a pretty oak commode, a wicker chair, and a large modern Kohler sink. Additional room amenities include a TV, CD player, VCR, Wi-Fi, and a fire stove and air conditioning in season.
In the evening, relax in the comfort of this high-styled, homey guestroom, while you plan the following day's activities. In the morning, join the other guests in our elegant dining room for a delicious breakfast - the perfect way to start your day in the Hudson Valley!
The Catherine Caldwell Room
This Jacuzzi suite at our bed and breakfast will provide a romantic and serene setting for your Hudson Valley honeymoon or weekend vacations in New York State. Named after the first owner of the house who lived here for about forty years, this impressive room features soothing beige walls and curtains. Furnished with a queen-size, reeded mahogany poster bed, comfortable easy chairs, a Biedermeier-style mirrored armoire, and an 1840's Empire bureau, this honeymoon suite has delighted many guests. A Jacuzzi, an antique marble sink, and a bidet grace the spacious private bath. Additional room amenities include TV, CD player, VCR, Wi-Fi, as well as a mahogany-framed electric fireplace and air conditioning in season.
During your stay, savor each other's company while enjoying a leisurely breakfast in our dining room. Then take your time exploring the Hudson Valley. At the end of the day, return to this relaxing room for a soak in the Jacuzzi before retiring to the lovely poster bed for a peaceful night's sleep.
One of the most romantic guest rooms in the Hudson Valley. The "Harmony Hill Room" (named after the original Caldwell Estate in County Antrim, Ireland) has become the Caldwell House’s flagship room.
We went to great lengths to blend the old with the new. While paying careful attention to the details of our historic home, we incorporated all the modern conveniences needed for today’s traveler.
The Harmony Hill Room has complete privacy from all other rooms. Here are some of the amenities you will enjoy:

The Moodna Room

With the historic Moodna Creek, which travels about 20 miles in the area and into the Hudson River, across the road, this sun-filled romantic room with its Tiffany blue walls offers you a quiet atmosphere, perfect for relaxing New York State weekend getaways and leisurely Hudson Valley vacations.
An inviting alternative to hotels in nearby Newburgh, the Moodna Room is furnished with a tiger maple king-size bed, an antique dresser, a 1930's armoire, and two high-back chairs. Additional room amenities include a private bath, TV, CD player, VCR, Wi-Fi, fire stove and air conditioning in season. Spend your days exploring the Hudson Valley, and spend your evenings simply enjoying each other's company. The Trestle Room
The Trestle Room sets the stage for romantic getaways in New York State. Rediscover romance in the Hudson Valley. Named after a nearby historic landmark, this room is furnished with a lovely queen-size maple bed with a handmade crocheted bedspread and an antique maple bureau. Additional room amenities include a private bath, TV, CD player, VCR, Wi-Fi, and air conditioning in season. Charming, comfortable, and evoking days gone by, this room is perfect for celebrating special occasions, such as honeymoons, wedding anniversaries, and birthdays.
After a peaceful night's sleep and a delicious breakfast in the morning, the two of you can take the time to explore the diverse attractions of the Hudson Valley. Did you see the movie "Michael Clayton" with George Clooney? There was an important scene filmed at the trestle two miles from here. We will direct you the exact location. Meanwhile you will enjoy your stay in this romantic room.
Storm King Room
The Storm King Room, named for the nearby Storm King Art Center - 500-acres of landscaped fields, hills, and woodlands recognized as one of the world’s greatest outdoor sculpture gardens - is located on the ground floor level of the Carriage House. Much of the original wood and stonework (circa 1803) remains in place - giving the room a feel of a bygone era. An impressive Queen Bed, top of the line mattress, and luxurious bedding will guaranty a blissful sleep. The room has a lingerie chest, a cherry wood framed floor mirror, comfy love seat and a beautiful antique chair as there is ample space for seating throughout the room, and more room too to snuggle up in front of the fireplace. Storm King's spacious bathroom comes complete with a Jacuzzi tub for two, a separate shower, and beautifully appointed fixtures. Its rustic, yet romantic feel has quickly turned the room into a guest favorite.
The Trophy Point Room
The Trophy Point Room, named for the famous Battle Monument site (one of the largest columns of granite in the world) on the grounds of the USMA at West Point, is located on the front half of the second floor. Gentle morning sunlight, streaming into the windows overlooking the property facing the main B&B House, will gently help wake you.
The handsome King-sized bed, top of the line mattress, and luxurious bedding will assure you a dreamy night's sleep. The room also comes with a cherry wood framed floor mirror, and a Queen Ann’s chair and Love Seat affording you much space to read, work, or enjoy a fire. An antique chest of drawers provides you plenty of space to lay out your belongings. The large en-suite private bathroom comes with an oversized shower with multiple shower heads – a real treat!
The Vineyard Room
The Vineyard Room, named for local wineries such as Brotherhood (America's Oldest Winery), Palaia Vineyards, and others on the Shawangunk Wine Trail, is located in the secluded back half of the second floor providing our guests with a "peaceful, easy feeling".
The striking King-sized bed, top of the line mattress, luxurious bedding will assure you a restful night's sleep. In addition, cuddle up on the large and comfortable Chaise Sofa or read a book by the fireplace in the lovely Queen Ann’s chair. The room has a closet for your personal use and the large, private en-suite bathroom has an over sized shower with multiple shower heads and stately fixtures.
The Freedom Road Room
The Freedom Road Room, named after the nearby "Freedom Road Trail" - the road leading from the last encampment made by General Washington's army before the end of the Revolutionary War. Nearly two centuries later, the 52 American hostages traveled this same route from Stewart Airport to West Point after their release from captivity in Iran. Americans were able to celebrate their freedom along this road in both the 18th and 20th centuries.
The Freedom Road Room is one of the two rooms on the ground floor level and comes with its own private entrance from the outside and a beautiful queen-sized sleigh bed. Additional features include a private closet, Lingerie Chest, a desk to work on, and a comfortable swivel "chair and a half."

We will refund your charge up to 10 days prior to your arrival date, minus a $50 service charge. After that date your total booking amount will not be refundable.

Check in time is after 2 PM. Earlier arrivals can sometimes be arranged – Please contact us to make such arrangements.
Check out time is 11 AM.
You are welcome to smoke on our porch or on the grounds with ashtrays provided, but not in the house.
Children over 12 are welcome.
We can not allow pets due to potential allergy concerns.
