    The Siam Classic Inn & Spa is a Victorian style home recently renovated into a small luxury Bed & Breakfast in Potsdam, New York. The house has a rich historical background, and the Inn offers a unique experience for the discerning traveler. Our historic house, built in 1883, is situated in the heart of Potsdam, New York, at 62 Elm Street.

    The Siam Classic Inn & Spa is ideal for travelers who want to relax and enjoy the quiet life in the oldest part of Potsdam. The Inn is within walking distance of SUNY Potsdam, Clarkson University, and many historical sites and attractions. And St. Lawrence University and SUNY Canton are 10-12 miles away. We’re also just a short drive from popular tourist destinations such as the Adirondack Mountains and the 1000 Islands Seaway. The Inn particularly brings back the sense and lifestyle of the King Rama V period in Thai history. Our goal is to convey the feeling of authentic Thai culture through all the senses. John and I love the historic style of the traditional old Thai house; and we feel we have accurately created an atmosphere reflecting the old flavors of ancient Thailand.

With its original design, authentic Thai environment, and many artistic and historical artifacts, the residence will make you feel as if you are back in time, living during the golden periods of Thailand.

    Each guest room is designed to present one period of Thai history. Photographs of the times, artwork, and unusual furniture create the environment of that period in the long history of Siam (Thailand). Every room features a new and extremely comfortable bed, Tiffany lamps, ample closet space, mirror, gorgeous wood floor, and tasteful décor.

    We provide first class accommodations and service for all of our guests. Every day we provide a delicious breakfast. On Monday through Friday we will serve a full American style breakfast with a Thai twist. And on Saturday and Sunday our guests will savor a full authentic Thai breakfast.

    The many entrances into the Kingdom of Siam bring the traveler at once into all the richness and variety of a tropical paradise. For centuries the amazing sights, sounds and colors of ?Siam (present day Thailand) have mesmerized travelers from all around the world. Many times in the past, foreign visitors and dignitaries were invited to “The Land of Smiles”, a place which was also called “The Venice of The East.”



    Merchants from all corners of the globe would come and marvel at this great kingdom and share stories of a prosperous empire whose people were hospitable and highly cultured. Beginning as far back as the early 1400′s, every nationality from the Portuguese Spanish, Chinese, Italian, French, and British came to explore or trade in the great Kingdom of Siam.



    Similarly, we invite you to step into the world of the Siam Classic Inn & Spa, where we have created an enviroment reflective of the old Kingdom of Siam. Every room represents a Period in the history of Siam.

    “Upstate Bangkok!”

    This is a wonderful, intimate, setting where you would least expect it. All the rooms are in beautiful Thai decor, each with a historical theme from Siam. There are some pretty amazing artifacts on the walls. I love the floor lamps in the hallway which stay on all night. You couldn't ask for more gracious, warm and accommodating hosts than Nok & John, who pulled out all the stops for us on a Sunday morning with the Full Thai Breakfast! Absolutely incredible food that took two hours to prepare! Plus, chocolate and rose petals on the bed...you can't beat that.

    The Most Beautiful Place to Stay in Potsdam

    After being booked out of my usual Potsdam hotel, I decided to give this inn a try. I'm very glad I did. It's simply gorgeous, with classic Thai styling. It's exceedingly clean and the service makes you feel very at home. The Thai breakfast is absolutely delicious. My only regret was that I couldn't stay for a few more nights!

    A Northern New York Treasure!

    Having been the first guests in this lovely B & B, we were treated to a very special experience. The decor of each room is very beautiful, interesting and authentic and makes you feel you have just come to Thailand. Service by the charming hostess was superb and we were made to feel right at home. The delicious breakfast was a highlight and will make you want to return for more. If you are coming to the Potsdam area you would do well to make a reservation at the Siam Classic Inn & Spa.
