    The Clark House Bed & Breakfast

    This grand Victorian home in Palenville New York, original inside and out, offers a country retreat in a fabulous Bed & Breakfast.

    Situated at the foot of the Catskill Mountains on 4.4 acres, it boasts a stunning and extensive private back grass meadow, bordered by pristine woodland sprinkled with wild thyme, sage and blackberries and an unobstructed view of the mountains.

    Each of the 6 gracious and light-filled bedrooms include private, full bathrooms with original detailing. The main floor master suite boasts a Jacuzzi tub and sleep loft, and a private entrance to the back deck and garden.  There are 4 bedrooms on the second floor, all with private bathrooms and access to our wrap around porch. The room have an eclectic mix of themes: Sea room, French Quarter, and Asian.

    “Delicious breakfast” is simply the phrase that guests use regularly. Our original rustic full barn, in a sun-drenched blue wash exterior, is available for a special occasion, party site, or wedding.

    An easy 2 hours from NYC, a quick city get away that contains a lifetime of adventure or relaxation.

    On the path of the art trail of The Hudson River School, we are at the Bottom of Kaaterskill Clove. It is a year-round destination for hiking, exploring the many famous Kaaterskill waterfalls and lakes, swimming, boating, kayaking or tubing on the majestic Hudson River. Also ideal for snow shoeing or winter skiing at Hunter Mountain, antiquing, horseback riding or checking out all the summer and fall music and year round art festivals. Tour the historic and quaint neighboring villages of Woodstock, Saugerties, Tannersville, Hunter and Hudson. Take advantage of the bounties of the Hudson valley, support farms, and pick your own fruits.

    We are surrounded by amazing restaurants that use farms, local grown vegetables and offer a huge range of flavors. It is difficult to say just one name.
