Step back in time and enjoy the simple pleasures of life during your stay at the Peppermint Cottage and Jackson Schoolhouse B&B. The Peppermint Cottage is located south of Lyons near the Hamlet of Alloway. Alloway and Lyons were once world leaders in the production of Peppermint. During your stay at the Peppermint Cottage enjoy the peace, quiet and atmosphere of the Adirondacks in the front yard. Stroll through and marvel at the many varieties of wildflowers that surround the B&B.

Rates:

• $150 per night, weekends (Fri, Sat & Sun) - Peppermint Cottage
• $140 per night, weekdays (Mon - Thur.) - Peppermint Cottage
• $105 per night, - Jackson Schoolhouse- Jackson Guest Room
• Rate includes: a full candlelight breakfast, hot tub & sauna
• Special rates available for a week long stay or longer.
• Families are encouraged:
  Children 5 years old and under stay free.
  Each additional person over 5 years of age is $20 extra.
• Payment Methods:
  Personal checks, VISA and Master Card accepted.
  A deposit is required to confirm your reservation.

   

Cancellation Policy:

• A refund (less administration fee) will apply if cancellation notification is received 14 days prior to the arrival date.
• The cancellation policy applies to any shortening of a stay or late-date arrivals.
• A $20 administration fee will be charged for any cancellation.

Check In and Check Out Times:

• Check in time is 4:00 - 6:00 P.M. (If you will not be able to check in during these hours, arrangements must be made in advance so that someone will be here to greet you.)
• Check out is 11:00 A.M.

The Peppermint Cottage and Jackson Schoolhouse Bed & Breakfast
provides an exclusive year round lodging for the vacationer, corporate executive, visiting relatives, and honeymooners.

The Peppermint Cottage is a two-story bungalow with two bedrooms. The upstairs features 2 bedrooms with a skylight. The downstairs living area has a cozy Adirondack charm with a colonial beehive fireplace. The living area is paneled in cherry, dating back 200 years. The kitchen is fully equipped for our guests' use. Your visit to the Cottage includes a full, candle-lit breakfast, and year round outdoor hot tub and sauna. Adjacent to the Peppermint Cottage is the Jackson Schoolhouse B&B. It is the home of Mark and Diane DeCracker, your hosts. The Jackson Schoolhouse has been newly remodeled and expanded to accommodate more guests. The Jackson Schoolhouse is a cobblestone schoolhouse built by a relative of Andrew Jackson in 1831, and served as a school until 1947. Numerous photos line the walls of the many students that have passed through the school doors. Breakfast is served in the one room schoolhouse. The schoolhouse serves as our dining room where guests enjoy a candlelight breakfast and the ambience of an English Rumford Fireplace. The Jackson Schoolhouse B&B has seven different hardwood floors throughout the B&B. The Jackson guest room has a beautiful walnut floor, queen bed, private bath, AC, and Cable TV. Guests are welcome to relax and enjoy the garden waterfall in the courtyard. Our 78 ft. long cobblestone wall with herb and flower gardens wraps around the deck, offering a peaceful place to watch the variety of birds that visit the feeders and flowers.
