    Trail's End is perfect for weddings, receptions, retreats, business meetings, and other group events. Flexible arrangements with lodging and meals are available for groups up to forty people.     The atmosphere at Trails End is casual and leisurely in keeping with the nature of a true "country inn." Our staff is dedicated to providing personal service in a warm and relaxed environment.

    Lodging

    Our main lodge houses ten spacious guest rooms and two suites decorated with antiques and reproductions. Guest rooms are all different and accommodate two to five people. Some rooms have a fireplace, clawfoot tub, or sleeping porch. Three deluxe rooms with fireplace and two-person whirlpool tub have recently added.

    Three two-bedroom cottages are available complete with kitchen, fireplace, telephone, TV/VCR, CD player, laundry, and private porch - perfect for a romantic evening or a family gathering.

    Breakfast Porch-Trail's End InnLodging includes a full breakfast served each morning between 7:30 and 9:00 AM in our newly expanded dining room. We can now accommodate a large number of guests at one time in a warm and relaxing setting designed to make you feel like you are already outside enjoying nature at its best in the High Peaks. Hiker quick-start breakfasts are also available for those who need an early start. Each morning you will begin your day with coffee (we are proud to serve Equal Exchange fairly traded organic coffees), organic tea (we have quite a selection of black and herbal teas) or cocoa, fruit juice, hot or cold cereal, muffins, and always fresh fruit.

    We at Trail's End know that our guests are people who love the outdoors and who need a good breakfast to provide energy. Our specialties are both healthy and delicious. We feature dishes like blueberry pancakes, toasted pecan waffles, blueberry French toast, omelets, eggs benedict, and baked egg dishes such as quiches, soufflés and frittatas.

    Vegetarian main dishes are always available, with meat (bacon or sausage) offered as a side dish. We can also accommodate special diets (vegan, gluten-, lactose- or dairy-free, low sodium, allergies). Our vegan French toast and vegan pancakes are really yummy! Let us know if you are following a low-carbohydrate diet, and we'll make sure to fill you with all you need for your day on the trails. If you have a special dietary need or concern, please let us know - we'll help.

  • Groups and Weddings

    Trail's End is perfect for large groups. We already host several annual events for clubs and families from all over the region. We can arrange a lodging and meal package for nearly any size group for any number of days. You can even rent the entire house! Corporate retreats, large and small, workshops and getaways for your group are all welcome. Family events like birthdays and graduation celebrations are more fun when everyone can attend.

    We are a perfect site for weddings. During the summer months of July, August and September, however, we cannot accommodate weddings due to our large number of repeat guests, hikers and vacationers. With a large tent on the lawn, we can accommodate weddings and receptions for nearly 200 people. Whether you have your ceremony here or in another location, this is the perfect place for a reception after a wedding, civil union or renewal of vows. You might even want to rent the whole house for the week of the wedding, culminating the family gathering with the wedding. With 14 bedrooms, you'll have plenty of space.

    Family reunions and gatherings. Our large house is also available for rent as a whole unit; the price depends on the season. We have 16 bedrooms and 12 bathrooms so there's plenty of room for everyone. We can easily sleep up to 40 or 50 people. Our commercial kitchen and laundry facilities are included so you can prepare meals for the whole crowd. You can seat 50 in our dining room and breakfast room, and more on the porches. A picnic or barbecue on the front lawn is always popular in summer, as well. We have picnic tables and propane grills for you to use.

    It's very hard to find a big enough house these days, so renting the entire Trail's End Inn might be just the answer. The large front lawn is great for volleyball, badminton, croquet or frisbee. The Adirondack lean-to in the back is great for bonfires and marshmallow roasts. Young and old alike will enjoy having the front porch to relax on. We also can play host to writers' workshops, artists' retreats, fitness and wellness weekends, corporate retreats, professional continuing education classes, and the like.
