Late Arrival Repast Add-on
Perhaps after your journey to the Inn, particularly if your arrival is late in the evening, you might not want to venture out to one of the area's many excellent restaurants, but just relax in your cozy room, sit by the fire, and enjoy an assortment of goodies from Bizalion's Fine Foods, including a box of crackers from Fine Cheese Company, UK, a wedge of Brie de Meaux, a soppressata, some salted pistachios, and finally on a sweeter note, a bag of their freshly made macaroons or luzer ($39 - please order this a day ahead so we can pick this up for you). We will provide the cheese board and cutlery.
Bizalion's is a wonderful little shop open for breakfast and lunch and offering fine cheeses, meats, olive oils, freshly baked baguettes, quiche, pastries, espresso, and capuccino etc. (or as owner Jean-Francois calls it, Epicerie Fine et Ecritures Gourmandes Jambons et Saucisses et Autres Denrees Gastronomiques et Rares). Visit them at 684 South Main Street in Great Barrington - for lunch, not breakfast!

Happy Birthday or Anniversary Add-on
Coming to celebrate a birthday or anniversary at the Inn? Let us provide a 4" or 6" double-layer cake in your choice of chocolate, vanilla, lemon, almond, or carrot cake with a chocolate, vanilla, or fruit jam filling, iced with vanilla buttercream and fondant on top. Cost is $35 or $40 depending on size.
Please order at least three days ahead of your visit. -
Manger! Boire! Eat! Drink!

Chez Nous, a great little French bistro in nearby Lee, Massachusetts, is extending their Manger! Boire! Thursday evening get-togethers from November 2012 through May, 2013.
Chef Franck describes this as “a time for like-minded people to come together at the restaurant, to talk about a special culinary topic, taste some appropriate wines, and enjoy some new recipes and techniques.” The $30 per person cost covers the cooking demos, wine parings, recipes, and great culinary conversation.
Book a Thursday night stay for two at the Inn from November through May, and we will include the cost of the Manger! Boire! for one person. -

Cheese-Making
The Inn has partnered with The Pampered Cow (marketer of Hudson Valley artisanal farmstead cheeses) and their Columbia County creamery, Twin Maple Farm, to offer our guests a morning of cheese-making and cheese-tasting.
You will leave with a 1 lb. wheel of cheese (1 per couple). Cost for the Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday class is $50/person. This could also be part of a great holiday gift - a stay at the Inn on a Sunday night and a class on Monday morning. -
Catamount Fun in the Trees! Package

Catamount Ski Area in Hillsdale has opened the largest aerial forest adventure park in North America designed by Swiss Alpine mountaineers! Book a two-night stay in the Thorsden or Merrill rooms mid week (Monday through Wednesday), and we will include one adult ticket for a real Outward Bound adventure! The park is open May through October.
