We have a great Victorian house and our guests love the size of our rooms.
If someone has never been to your city, what is the #1 reason to come visit?
That's the great thing -- there is no number 1. We have the National Soaring Museum, wine tasting, glider rides, hot air balloon rides, Watkins Glen races, Corning Glass Museum, Civil War history, Revolutionary War history and the list goes on.
What’s the best compliment you have ever received about the inn?
We have the cleanest B&B they have stayed in. Our B&B looks better here than it did on the internet.

We do not accept pets, but we have a kennel which will pick them up and deliver them back to the guest.
While a large number of our guests come to the area specifically to visit the many wineries along The Finger Lakes, there is an extraordinary variety of activities awaiting you - all convenient to Elmira's Painted Lady. The city of Elmira is large enough to be active and progressive, yet not so big that it is overwhelming. Located in the Near Westside Historic District, we are close to shops and restaurants and less than 5 minutes from the highway.
There are many fine restaurants, movie theatres, community libraries, performing arts, a community civic arena, and several museums all within just a few blocks! The Finger Lakes region itself is a land of striking beauty with rolling hills, six glacier formed lakes, gorges and waterfalls and a host of outdoor activities that allow you to enjoy all this
beauty to its fullest!
Visit your choice of more than 100 wineries along the Finger Lakes Wine Trail or spend an afternoon exploring the many shops and brew pubs on historic Market Street. Enjoy fine dining at any number of local restaurants or take in spectacular scenery while you dine, as you experience the natural beauty of Seneca Lake on a sunset dinner cruise or from the patio of a winery. If you enjoy golf, you will want to take advantage of the Donald Ross designed - Mark Twain Golf Course located less than 3 miles from our door. Perhaps you are a bit adventurous and would enjoy a hike through the many gorges and waterfalls in the area.

How To Find Us
From New York Interstate 86 (sections Route 17):
- Take exit 56 (Church/Water Streets) and continue West on Water Street approximately 1.8 miles through downtown
- We are the fourth building on the right after Walnut Street, with the wrought iron fence in front
- We encourage you to park on the street, directly in front of the inn for check-in
- Parking is in our lighted lot behind the house
- We would be happy to valet your car, or direct you to the parking lot once you are settled in
Directions to Off-Street Parking:
- Off-street parking is available behind the property
- From the front of the inn, continue west on West Water Street
- Take your first right onto Grove Street
- We are the second driveway on the right
- Follow the alley until it curves to the left
- Turn right into our lot - you will see a double-door garage painted the same blue as the inn
- The parking area is along the stockade fence, with one space reserved for each guest room
- The guest entrance is in the front of the house (follow signs to the left of the house)
