    Romance awaits you at Cromwell Manor Inn. The main building, The Manor House, contains nine elegant guest rooms in a brick mansion built in 1820. The original home on the property, The Chimneys Cottage, dates back to 1764 and offers charming Colonial ambiance in four guest rooms. A great place to stay, this Hudson Valley romantic getaway has been the site for many engagements and elopements!

    Step back in time and surround yourself with history and elegance. All rooms in both buildings are air-conditioned in season. There are hair dryers and robes in each room, so you don't have to pack them! Irons and ironing boards are available.     The Inn is located 5 miles north of West Point off Route 9W. It is easily accessible from Stewart International Airport and only one hour and 15 minutes from midtown Manhattan.

    From the south on the Palisades Parkway – Go to the end of parkway to Bear Mt. traffic circle, take 9W North for 11.25 miles to Angola Rd. (Cornwall) exit, at end of exit, turn left onto Angola Rd. for 3/10 miles – the Inn will be on your right.

    From the south on the NYS Thruway – Exit 16, take the first exit after toll and turn right onto Rt. 32 North for 1.3 miles. Make a right onto Smith Clove Rd. for about 9 miles (Smith Clove Rd. changes to Mineral Springs Rd. and then into Angola Rd. The inn is on the left, immediately after Jones Farm. If you pass route 9W, you went too far!

    From Connecticut – Take I-84 West over the Newburgh-Beacon Bridge, take second exit after bridge to 9W South (at end of exit turn right on Rt. 32, go to traffic light, and turn right onto 9W South), follow 9W South for 7.1 miles to Angola Rd. exit, at end of exit turn left onto Angola Rd. for 2/10 miles – the Inn will be on your right.

    From the north on the NYS Thruway – Exit 17, follow signs for Rt. 17K, turn left at traffic light onto 17K East for 2.3 miles, turn right onto 9W South, follow 9W South for 5.7 miles to Angola Rd. exit, at end of exit turn left onto Angola Rd. for 2/10 miles – the Inn will be on your right.

    From Stewart International Airport – Exit the airport to route #207. Take a left on Rt. #207 for 1.3 miles. At intersection, go straight on Rt. #300 south for 2.3 miles. At large intersection, go straight on Rt. #32 south for 1.6 miles. After crossing a small green bridge, take a left on Quaker Ave. for .4 miles. Take a right onto Rt. #9W south for one exit (Angola Rd.). Take the Angola Rd. exit. At the end of the ramp take a left onto Angola Rd., Cromwell Manor Inn will be on your right in .2 miles.

    From New York City via train – Take the train from NYC and rent a discounted car at the destination station to save $$$ versus renting in New York City.

    From Grand Central Station, take the train to Beacon (click for schedule) and then rent a car from Enterprise (click to reserve). Enterprise will pick you up at the station during their working hours and you can return the car anytime at the station. Cromwell Manor Inn is about 20 minutes from the Beacon station.

    From Penn Station, take the Port Jervis line to Harriman (click for schedule) and rent a car from Enterprise (click to reserve). Enterprise will pick you up at the station during their regular working hours and you can return the car anytime at the station. Cromwell Manor Inn is about 20 minutes from the Harriman station.

    Cromwell Manor Inn is the perfect place for your wedding of up to 100 people. Most choose to get married under our gorgeous, ancient Sycamore tree with the reception following under a tent with beautiful views in every direction. Your wedding will be as memorable for your guests as it is for you! Rent the entire Inn for two days (13 rooms in two buildings that can sleep up to 30 people). When booking the entire inn, a 50% non-refundable deposit is due at the time of the booking. The remaining balance is due 90 days before the event. Cost to rent the inn for two nights is $6340 plus tax and there is a $1000 (plus tax) site use fee. If your guests are paying for their own rooms, you will be reimbursed after they check-in. Use Cromwell Manor Inn's amazing grounds for beautiful wedding day pictures.

    What could be more romantic than eloping at an historic 1820 home with stunning grounds? We take all of the work out of the wedding so that you can really enjoy your special day. The perfect "home base" for a visit to the area any season of the year, many attractions are within an hour's drive, and most are fewer than 15 minutes away. Unpack once, and enjoy something different every day! You can even be in Manhattan in about an hour, if you like. Here are some of our favorites:

    Historic West Point
    The United States Military Academy at West Point celebrated its 200th anniversary in 2002. Enjoy a football game, an outdoor concert, the cadets on parade, or the stunning views. Visitor's center, Museum, and tours available year-round. Less than 15 minutes from Cromwell Manor, with a gorgeous drive in-between.

    Storm King Art Center
    Storm King Art Center is a museum that celebrates the relationship between sculpture and nature. Five hundred acres of landscaped lawns, fields and woodlands provide the site for postwar sculptures by internationally renowned artists. The grounds are surrounded by the undulating profiles of the Hudson Highlands, a dramatic panorama integral to the viewing experience. Only five minutes drive from the Inn.

    Dia:Beacon
    Dia Art Foundation, one of the world’s preeminent contemporary art institutions, opened a new museum on May 18, 2003, housing its renowned but rarely seen permanent collection, comprising major works of art from the 1960s to the present. Located on the Hudson River in Beacon, New York, Dia:Beacon occupies a nearly 300,000-square-foot historic printing factory. Dia:Beacon is a short 20 minute drive from Cromwell Manor Inn.

    Storm King Adventure Tours
    Experience a three hour guided educational hike including your choice of a dendrology hike, a history of Storm King Mountain hike, a history of paper-making hike, or an airplane crash site hike. Various degrees of difficulty ($25 per person). Also for three hours, try kayaking with a guide to Bannerman's Island, the Moodna Creek Marsh, a sunset paddle, or a full moon paddle ($60 per person). Mountain bike in Black Rock Forest Preserve (bike rentals - $40 per day or $9 per hour, two hour min.) by yourself or with a guide for three hours ($25 per person for the guide plus bike rental).     Some of the wealthiest families in the nation chose to live in the Hudson Valley. With breathtaking views of the river, the mansions of the Vanderbilts, the Rockefellers (Kykuit), and Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt are the crown jewels of area homes. Boscobel, Sleepy Hollow, and many other mansions are also open for you to enjoy the buildings and grounds. Cromwell Manor is in the best possible location, since all of these may be reached with a 30-60 minute drive in various directions.

    Vineyards and Wineries
    Both the oldest vineyard in the U.S.(Benmarl) and the oldest continuously-operating winery Brotherhood Winery in the country are nearby. Follow the Shawangunk Wine Trail, with tours and tastings at more than a dozen wineries, many of which have underground cellars, or cross the river for the Dutchess Wine Trail. Enjoy at six course dinner, wine, music and dancing at Magnanini Winery. Five minutes for Cromwell Manor Inn is Palaia Vineyards Winery with live music and wine tastings Thursday thru Sunday!

    Museum Village, a living history museum, opened its doors on July 1, 1950 and today Museum Village still pursues its founder's vision of educating generations of Americans about the work and life of their ancestors. Through educational programs, hands-on-exhibits and special events Museum Village is dedicated to exploring and interpreting 19th century rural life as well as inspiring an appreciation for the evolution of industry and technology in America.

    Leave the modern world behind for the Faire, where pleasure is the order of the day and entertainment is everywhere! Eleven main stages offer continuous performances by jugglers, jesters, minstrels and magicians. Witness a daring joust of armored knights on charging steeds.     Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival
    The Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival is a critically-acclaimed regional theater, attracting audiences from the tri-state area and beyond.     With 4000 acres of hiking trails just outside our front door, and the Hudson River minutes away, Cromwell Manor Inn is ideal for those seeking fun and adventure out of doors. Allow us to arrange horseback riding, a cruise on the Hudson River, hot-air ballooning, mountain biking, kayaking, golf at the Jack Nicklaus designed Mansion Ridge golf course or the beautiful Central Valley golf course, tennis, snowshoeing, and many other sports. We will even pack a picnic with prior arrangement, and can frequently accommodate one-way transportation.

    Orange County Choppers
    As seen on the TLC Channel's American Choppers series, Orange County Choppers world headquarters is only 10 minutes from Cromwell Manor Inn! The showroom is open every day.

    National Purple Heart Hall of Honor
    Located in New Windsor, the National Purple Heart Hall of Honor is only a short five minute drive from Cromwell Manor Inn. The mission of the Hall of Honor is to collect and preserve the stories of Purple Heart recipients from all branches of service and across generations in an attempt to ensure that all recipients are represented. Their stories will be preserved and shared through a series of exhibits, live and videotaped interviews with veterans themselves, and the Roll of Honor, an interactive computer program detailing the stories of each individual.

    Hudson Valley Nature Museum
    Enjoy a Discovery Quest in the 177 acre preserve directly out our front door! The Discovery Quests are unique, interactive ways to learn about the environment. Participants are able to purchase a guidebook with illustrations, riddle poems and field notes describing each topic at the learning stations. The goal of each Quest is to find the "hidden message" of each hike.

    Bethel Woods Center for the Arts
    Enjoy live entertainment in this state-of-the art amphitheater at the site of the 1969 Woodstock Festival. Bethel Woods Center for the Arts presents some of the country's leading classical, rock, pop, jazz, and country entertainers.

    Pick Your Own Produce or take a hayride!
    Experience the enjoyment of picking your own produce at Lawrence Farms Orchards, a family owned farm about 20 minutes away from Cromwell Manor Inn. Enjoy fresh grapes, peaches, vegetables and apples. Lawrence Farms Orchards also offers hay rides and sleigh rides in season.

    Jones Farm
    A short walk from the inn brings you to a small, family owned farm where you can buy homemade fudge, cookies, pastries, or very unique gifts. Pet the miniature horses, feed the chickens, or check out the bee observatory.
