    Zora & Terry,

    What a wonderful place you have! We are so glad we booked for 3 nights. It made the cold weather bearable because we could return to a warm & cozy "home" with fireplace, cookies, hot drinks & all the rest. The Chambery Suite was super. And the breakfasts were wonderful! Beyond our capabilities, that’s for sure. Keep all those special touches that you have now & you will be successful. Thanks for your hospitality. When I think of Prague, I will think of Zora and of course, Chambery.

    Chambéry Cottage is a Green and Eco Friendly B&B deriving our heat, air-conditioning, and hot water from our in ground Energy Star efficient Geothermal system, the cleanest energy on earth, from the earth. We are committed to clean living with an emphasis on reducing our carbon footprint. All our major appliances are Energy Star certified and we purchase much of our electric from wind turbines through our local electric company.

    Chambéry Cottage is a fully renovated 100 year old farmhouse set in the beautiful Bristol Hills, and yet very convenient to Canandaigua Lake.


    The decor of the house is decidedly Old World or French Country. The drawing room's focal point is a large wood-burning fireplace flanked by incredibly comfortable twin settees, covered in a rich tapestry fabric. Here is also where you will find our extensive collection of Bohemian crystal along with a library area complete not only with interesting reading, but a selection of films and CD's which the guests may enjoy in their rooms. Located in the dining room is a coffee and tea bar complete with home baked goodies and snacks. Lavish full breakfast is served every day at 9 am.

    From the New York State Thruway (90) East or West:

    Exit 44 to Route 332. Take Route 332 south directly into Canandaigua (about 5 miles). At the 2nd traffic light after the railroad tracks you turn right onto Bristol Street. Go two miles straight thru one traffic light which will be Rt. 5&20 and then turn left onto Route 21 South. Travel eight miles. Monks Road will be on the left. Monks Road will split immediately. Stay to your right. Chambéry Cottage will be on the right and parking area on the left side. Look for signs.

    From Route 5 & 20 West:

    After passing the Route 64 South junction, make a right at the second blinking light onto Hickox Road. Follow Hickox until it ends at Route 21. Make a right onto Route 21 South and travel 6.5 miles. Monks Road will be on the left. Monks Road will split immediately. Stay to your right. Chambéry Cottage will be on the right and parking area on the left side. Look for signs.

    From 5 & 20 East:

    As you enter the city of Canandaigua, you will encounter a large intersection where 5 & 20 meets Route 21 South. Continue on Route 21 South (also Route 5 & 20) to the second traffic light. At this traffic light, you will turn left and left again to continue on Route 21 South. Travel eight miles. Monks Road will be on the left. Monks Road will split immediately. Stay to your right. Chambéry Cottage will be on the right and parking area on the left side. Look for signs.

    From points South - Route 17 (Southern Tier Expressway):

    Traveling west on Route 17 (86). A few miles after Kanona exit take 390 (to Rochester). From 390 take exit 2 to Cohocton. Go thru Cohocton - Route 415 to Route 371. Stay on this route until 21 North. (Follow signs for Canandaigua Lake and Naples). After leaving Naples go approximately 10 miles. Monks Road will be on your right. After about 100 feet there will be a parking area on your right side and the B&B will be on the left.
