If wine tasting is your passion, Keuka, Seneca and Cayuga lakes offer nearly 100 wineries that cater to every palette, making for a splendid day trip. And, you can do it year round! During the winter months, Bristol Mountain is a pleasant drive over the hills surrounding Canandaigua Lake offering both downhill and cross country skiing.

Originally built in 1895 by Saunders and Mead, reputable builders in the Canandaigua area during the late 1800's, Bella Rose B&B is home to one of three beautiful Queen-Anne style Victorians, located side-by-side on historic Main Street.

Our Victorian lady is a beauty come to life again after having been meticulously renovated back to its original character and splendor, but enhanced with comfortable and modern amenities. Bella Rose B&B is an intimate B&B offering three guest rooms, all with private baths, especially transformed for the ultimate in romance and relaxation. Guests are welcome to enjoy their newly purchased bottle of Finger Lakes wine in our spacious front parlor (yes, wine glasses, cork screw and chiller are available, as well as a fridge stocked with bottled water and soft drinks...) or relax in our large open foyer, home to three beautiful stained glass windows, original ornate oak staircase, and toasty gas coal fireplace. If the fresh air beckons, you can enjoy the sights and sounds of Canandaigua from our fully restored wrap-around front porch.

Awake each morning to a scrumptious three-course breakfast served by candlelight in our elegant period dining room. Piping hot Finger Lakes’ Roasters coffee, gourmet loose leaf teas are offered, as well as your choice of several juices. A typical breakfast begins with a fresh pastry course that varies from warm muffins, breads or scones, made from scratch of course, to homemade cinnamon rolls or sour cream coffeecake, or even a rich, gooey blueberry bread pudding. We then follow it with a fresh fruit course that highlights in-season local fruits, which we have selected from our favorite organic farm stand or picked ourselves, whenever possible.

You must leave room for our main entree, always a different house specialty every day, such as our homemade cinnamon swirl French toast. Feast your senses on this family recipe sweet dough that is layered with butter, cinnamon and sugar, rolled tight to make that perfect loaf, and then baked till golden. After carving into thick slices, we grill it until caramelized and then lightly dust it with confectionery sugar. Served with pure Vermont maple syrup, this is not your ordinary breakfast! To make the meal complete, we always serve this with thick-sliced bacon, ham or sausage patties, freshly ground by a local butcher. This Canandaigua Bed and Breakfast is clearly a romantic getaway destination for foodies!

As aspiring innkeepers for many years, we long-awaited realizing our dream of opening an intimate Bed and Breakfast, especially designed for the adult getaway. We searched for and found the perfect home in need of tender loving care, that we restored ourselves and converted to a Bed and Breakfast. The result is Bella Rose B&B, and we are thrilled to offer it to you, our special guest. This extensive renovation, complete in December 2006, awaits your visit and we welcome you to our "Chosen Spot", in beautiful, historic Canandaigua, New York.

From the East:
Take Route 90 (New York State Thruway) to Exit 43. Highway 21 south to Canandaigua. Take a right on Rt. 332 (Main Street), go north a little more than half a mile. Bella Rose B&B is on the left, five houses past Academy Street. If you go to the light at Buffalo Street, you've gone too far. . .

From the West:
Take Route 90 (New York State Thruway) to Exit 44. Take Rt. 332 south approximately seven miles. Bella Rose B&B is on the right hand side just past the turn for Perry Place. If you go to the light at Fort Hill, you've gone too far. . .

From Rts. 5 & 20:
Take Rt. 5 & 20 east or west until you reach the city limits of Canandaigua. Take Rt. 332 north (only way to go) from the light at 5 & 20 and take approx. 1.4 miles north to Bella Rose B&B. You will pass the downtown shops and courthouse buildings. We are on the left, five houses past Academy Street. If you go to the light at Buffalo Street, you've gone too far. . .
