Our bed and breakfast offers five well-appointed and tastefully decorated guest rooms. Each room and the entire inn are sound-proofed to ensure uninterrupted calm. All rooms are air conditioned and heated, most with individually-controlled thermostats. And, in most rooms, fireplaces provide warmth on chilly winter days or cool fall nights. All fireplaces are operational Labor Day through Memorial Day, the Angell and Wilder Room fireplaces are operational year round. Comfortable, well-lit, seating areas, most with ottomans, are perfect for reading a book. Comfortable beds are perfectly situated to enjoy cable television or a DVD from our considerable collection. In the winter, heated mattress pads do away with those first chilly moments when settling into bed.
Sumptuous linens including down comforters and soft quilts ensure a restful night's sleep all year long. Large, modern, private baths include many amenities, including bath products, absorbent, supple linens, plush robes and hair dryers. After a restful night, enjoy our gourmet breakfast with fresh fruit, buttermilk biscuits, and delicious entrees.
Angell Room ~ $170 - $195
Located on the second floor, this cozy room is decorated in soft pinks and browns and features a large picture window overlooking the Inn's impressive gardens and the woods beyond. Take in the view from the queen-size pencil-post bed wrapped in a luxurious chenille throw or relax in the comfortable sitting area in front of a RealFlame fireplace. Perfect for a weekday or weekend getaway, your stay in the Angell Room will provide a relaxing escape from everyday life.
Hotchkiss Room ~ $215 - $245
French doors open onto a private brick terrace with a plush wicker seating arrangement. It is through this terrace that Hotchkiss Room guests have direct access to the Inn's outdoor hot tub and gardens.
This downstairs room, decorated in subdued reds and golds, has a queen size, pencil-post canopy bed. A sitting area situated around a Vermont Castings fireplace provides a lovely view of the gardens. The bathroom includes a private whirlpool bath for one with a window overlooking the creek below. Perfect for celebrating an anniversary or other special occasion, the Hotchkiss Room delivers comfortable elegance and romance in abundance
Bristol Suite ~ $215 - $245
The Bristol Suite, the most spacious room in the Inn, once housed a magnificent ballroom. This upstairs room offers a large window seat overlooking the Inn's lush gardens. The seat, which is the size of a twin bed, can accommodate a third person.
When the weather turns chilly, enjoy the warmth of the thermostatically-controlled Vermont Castings fireplace from your new, king-size poster bed. A full-size chocolate leather sofa, chair and ottoman complete the Suite. And, a small refridgerator has been added to this Suite making it convenient to chill items you may have brought with you or local items you may acquire during your trip. The Bristol Suite features a palatial bathroom with a separate shower and soaking tub and a large window overlooking our lush gardens.
The Barn Suite ~ $240 - $275
This renovated barn with its fashionable decor, is located about 25 feet from the Inn. Spacious and private, the deluxe Suite features a king-size sleigh bed. Two upholstered chairs with down-filled cushions rest in front of the thermostatically-controlled fireplace... the primary source of heat during chilly fall days. This room features a 27" Sony flat screen TV, DVD player and a docking station.
Guests enjoy independence with a galley kitchen complete with microwave and refrigerator, dinnerware and stemware, and many other kitchen accessories.
Yet, guests also have access to all common areas within the Inn and can enjoy our gourmet breakfasts served in the Dining Room. A sliding glass door provides an unobstructed view of your own semi-private garden with a pond and several outdoor seating options. The modern, well equipped bathroom provides complete privacy and a host of personal amenities.
Wilder Room ~ $170 - $195
This splendid room is named after the original owner of the house, Ephraim Wilder. Also located on the second floor, the Wilder Room is adorned in red and warm taupe. It features a plush, four-poster queen-size bed with partial canopy. A comfortable sitting area arranged around a RealFlame fireplace provides an inviting area in which to read a book or just unwind. The spacious, modern bathroom includes a cushioned wicker armchair and many thoughtful touches.
