It may only be November, but it sure looks like Christmas at Abner

Pickles 27 Jul 2014, 7:11 am
Hello Dill!!! Looks like it time for pickles!!!
Our wooded trails are loaded with wild blackberry bushes.
They are wonderful for making jams and jellies but are very
small and contain lots of seeds. I only picked the periphery
for I was not prepared with long pants and long sleeves.
First batch of jam made today. It is well worth the
time it takes to pick them. More jam tomorrow!
|All of our trails are named.

Greater Rochester Bed and Breakfast Association June Meeting was
held at Abner Adams House this afternoon. Just a peak at the
salad and fruit that we prepared for lunch.
Our Herb garden is back! After the harsh winter we have lost
many of our annual plants. But, we are so exited to say that
the herb garden did fine. It is so refreshing to walk out the
back door and pick fresh mint and chives for garnish on our
breakfast plates. More is yet to bloom, rosemary, basil,
lemon thyme, parsley, cilantro....
Easter Weekend was awesome! Beautiful weather, great guests,
fun time with family and friends. The Lord has blessed us!

It may be cold outside but spring is bursting all over at
Abner Adams House!
After this long winter, this is the first day the snow has melted
enough to see the gardens. There are lots of new sprouts of tulips
and daffodils peaking their heads out of the earth. It is
spring, it has really begun! So refreshing.
It has been a hard cold winter but spring is on the way. Our
gardens will be beautiful, check your calendar and book your room
