    ECCE Bed and Breakfast - Barryville, New YorkECCE is an award-winning 5 bedroom B&B located in the southwest Catskills region. The finely appointed rooms have private baths (some with whirlpool tubs), A/C, in-room televisions with built in DVD/VCR/CD players, free internet access and refreshment centers with built in refrigerator, coffee/tea makers and complimentary snacks and beverages. Panoramic views of the river valley and surrounding mountains of New York and Pennsylvania can be seen from nearly all rooms in the house.

    ECCE is abundant with welcoming amenities. Enjoy the use of several common guest areas. Curl up with a good book in front of our wood burning fireplace or gather to play games in the warm and welcoming sunroom.

    From the large outdoor decks, marvel at the breathtaking views and watch the wide variety of wildlife, including the American Bald Eagle or just relax in the serenity of nature. ECCE is situated on 60 acres of wooded private property to hike, bike, paint, sketch and photograph the wonders of nature.

    Savor a sumptuous country breakfast while overlooking the river from one of our many outdoor decks or breakfast room. Enjoy such unique fare as ECCE's Classic "Eggs in the Clouds Benedict," or our "Stuffed Baked French Toast" with cream cheese and seasonal fruits. All our dishes are made to order and will cater to both your taste buds and dietary needs.

    Enjoy many local activities and area attractions including canoeing, kayaking, rafting, fishing, skiing, antiquing, craft/street fairs, gaming and historic sights. The area features many entertainment venues including summer stock, cabaret, experimental theater, opera and concerts at the newly opened Bethel Woods Center for the Performing Arts.

    ECCE is the perfect place to celebrate those special occasions such as birthdays, anniversaries and reunions. In addition, ECCE is an excellent venue to host offsite executive retreats. Experienced facilitators are available for such events. Whatever the occasion, it will be personal and long remembered.

    Why do most travelers stay at your inn?

    Incredible views, attention to detail, immaculate premises, unbelievable breakfasts, beautiful accommodations, fabulous hosts

    What are you best known for? 

    We are located on a bluff 400 feet above the upper Delaware River. The views from the rooms are "breathtaking" to quote our guests.

    What makes your inn unique?

    We are unique in that we are very personal to each guest. For example, when there is a special occasion, there are surprises for the guests in their room when they arrive. We are located on 60 acres and have hiking trails throughout the property. Each room has a refreshment center with refrigerator, coffee tea maker. We provide complimentary snacks and beverages for the refreshment centers. We spot clean each room while guests have breakfasts. The room are then re-cleaned and turned down w/a variety of chocolates when guests are out to dinner. After dinner cordials are available in common areas. We host a guest reception prior to guests going to dinner. The reception includes hors d'ouvres and complimentary beverages including wine, beer, etc. The reception gives the guests an opportunity meet each other and the hosts. All of our offerings are included in the room rate. There are no "additional charges." We are a "Green Lodging Partner" with the Delaware Highlands Conservancy www.delawarehighlands.org.
    We host a rotating art exhibit which includes: Outdoor metal/stone sculptures, prints, oil paintings, photography pottery and jewelry.

    What do you love most about your inn?

    What I like most about the inn is our clientele. Really nice, interesting, thoughtful people. We often receive "thank you" notes, photos and gifts from our guests. 75% of our clientele are either returning guests or referrals from our guests.

    There are four equal reasons visitors come to our area:

    What’s the best kept secret about the area?

    The 1969 Woodstock was held in our area (Bethel, not Woodstock, NY) and there is now a museum and 15,000 seats, state of the Art Performing Arts Center at the site of the original concert. See www.bethelwoodscenter.org.
