Placitas Bed and Breakfasts
Placitas is just a 20-minute drive south of downtown Albuquerque. The Fourth of July is particularly special here, starting with an old-fashioned parade and concluding with a big fireworks display. For more elegant dining, there are restaurants like the Prairie Star and the Corn Maiden, adjoined to the championship golf course on the Santa Ana Pueblo.
