Lovers of the Earth, Rivers & Mesa Vistas, welcome to Canon del Rio, an adobe-style lodging and day spa situated on 6 magnificent and restful acres in Jemez Springs, New Mexico.
Our guests may freely enjoy the inn's walking trails along the Jemez River below the wrap-around mesas. There are many private spots to meditate, read or picnic!
This award-winning inn has Native American art throughout the common areas and individual guest rooms. The Jemez Trading Co. gallery and gardens also feature paintings and sculpture of local artists.
Wake up to views of our fish pond, the river and our enormous, delicious, Southwest style breakfast. Refresh and exercise in our new pool during summer season, reserve one of our new spa treatments or, relax in the soaking tub. At night take in 3600 of constellations while breathing clear, clean air.
The Great Room
This is the main breakfast area, self serve coffee and tea bar. Our common area seats large groups up to 60, this room also hosts small intimate breakfasts depending on the day.
There is a lounge area with large comfy couches and a large screen TV and entertainment system. Feel free to use our DVD's here, or in your room on you own laptop. There is a small kiva fire place to unwind, read a book, have libations and conversation or go on line wire free.
While enjoying this room, you will be surrounded by fantastic indigenous arts from different New Mexico pueblos, oil paintings, sculpture and the new-found friendships of fellow guests. No one has failed to be transported by the views of the spectacular mesas nearby and the lulling sounds of the Jemez River.
Our gourmet breakfasts are served promptly at 9:00. Please note that coffee is brewed for guests to serve themselves. There is no wait staff, please help yourself to any necessary items that might be missing from the table.

The Day Spa
Enhance your stay at the Cañon del Rio with any of our beneficial day spa treatments. We offer a combination of Jemez Valley vistas, relaxing river sounds, professional and multi-talented spa personnel.

All our products are natural and hypo-allergenic.

We offer a complimentary day pass for use of pool, spa and river grounds with any spa treatment per person. Pool open during warm weather only.

Our Art Gallery
Our Inn and Spa has been a showcase for local Native American and contemporary artists from the very first day we opened. Now with expanded indoor and outdoor spaces, our exhibition areas have also increased. In addition we have an unusually large collection of local traditional pottery, jewelry and art from the Jemez and surrounding Pueblos and well as gifts from around the world.
An ambience filled with art gives an added dimension to your experience as a guest at Canon del Rio.

- Go west on US Hwy 550 towards Cuba approximately 25 miles
- At San Ysidro turn right onto Hwy 4 and continue 17 miles to the village of Jemez Springs

From Santa Fe:
- Take Hwy 84/285 north towards Espanola approximately 15 miles to Hwy 502, a left lane exit, towards Los Alamos
- After approximately 12 miles take Hwy 4 towards White Rock and Bandelier
- Continue on Hwy 4 for about 55 miles to Jemez Springs
