If you are looking for a quiet and peaceful stay in the beautiful high desert terrain of Southwestern New Mexico, the Stress-Free Zone of Casitas de Gila Guesthouses & Nature Preserve is for you! Set on 265 acres overlooking Bear Creek and the Gila Wilderness, about a half-hour from Silver City, these 5 casitas (Spanish for "little houses") offer the epitome of Southwestern style. The guesthouses are beautifully decorated with Mexican furniture and rugs. Each has a full kitchen, a living room with seasonal kiva fireplace, a small porch with a chimenea, and a barbecue grill. On hand is an outdoor hot tub with a view of the creek, canyon, and sky. There's an adobe art gallery featuring oil paintings and handcrafted jewelry by the owners, as well as work by other area artists.

Guests must be at least 18 years old to occupy a Casita without an adult. In other words, we will not make a room reservation for a minor without an adult staying in the room as well.
Children under the age of 15 must be in the company of an adult at all times when on our property and may not be left alone in a Casita.
The minimum age for use of our hot tub is 12 years (having done a great deal of research on immune systems and safety issues).
We recognize that the incredible quiet we have at Casitas de Gila Guesthouses and Nature Preserve is difficult to find in the world today, and we want all our guests to be able to enjoy it. Casitas de Gila is a wonderful place for children who love nature and the out-of-doors. We understand that children are happy and boisterous, but we do ask that you and your children be respectful of other guests who have come here anticipating a quiet getaway.
