  • Hot Air Ballooning Adventure Package for Two

      $600 (double occupancy) Have you always looked for the opportunity to do something fun and adventurous? Albuquerque is known all over for its ballooning. Now is your chance to experience it yourself. Balloon rides always have to start early to ensure some of the best winds, therefore, your morning will start early with this package. Since you do have an early morning, we will send you off with a bountiful to-go basket. You will then drive to the launching point for your spectacular balloon ride. At the end of your balloon ride, you will be given special gifts to commemorate this remarkable event. The rest of the day is yours to enjoy, possibly in Old Town or at the Balloon Museum, or some of the other great sights Albuquerque has to offer. All you have to bring is some comfortable hiking shoes, hiking clothes, and the rest is planned for you. You will be picked up and dropped off for 1 or 2 days of viewing some of the "hidden spots" of New Mexico. The Jeep tours will allow you to view off-road sites including Spanish homesteads dating back to the 1700s, ancient Pueblo ruins, extinct volcanoes towering above beautiful valley floors, mesa tops, petro glyphs etched on rocks like an enormous gallery, forested mountains, gorgeous canyons, and incredible views. Tours cater to all levels of fitness. Since the tour is a full day, lunch will also be included in your off-road escapade.       A tea party in Albuquerque at the Downtown Historic Bed and Breakfast is an event you will not soon forget. You will be served on a collection of unique antique china, silver, white linen napkins, and tableclothes . Also, weather permitting, we can set your tea up in our beautiful backyard, complete with fountain and a variety of flowers and vegetation surrounding you. It is the perfect setting for your ladies' club event, book club luncheon, small bridal or baby shower, or just to get together and enjoy a special time with your friends. We ask that you call ahead or email for reservations.

      Size
      We can accommodate 10 to 25 people for a tea inside either the Heritage House or Spy House. If you want to do a garden tea, we can accommodate up to 30.  The size of your party does effect where we can accommodate you.  When you call to reserve we can discuss what facility will best suit your needs.

      Time
      Afternoon tea can be served at the Downtown Historic Bed and Breakfast anytime between 12-4. We will allow you and your guest at least 2 hours to enjoy your tea.

  • Murder Mystery

      The Spy House's dubious history is now the central theme of a MONTHLY (view calendar below) interactive dinner theater murder mystery. A Brief Case for Murder written by freelance writer, Tari Davis, is a unique and interesting way to reveal the history of the Spy House. It is also a fun and engaging activity for guests and staff of the bed and breakfast.  Each guest at the mystery dinner will be assigned a character to portray.  Some guest characters will have minor speaking roles, and every guest will have an opportunity to ad lib dinner conversation while in character.

      Advance reservations are required, due to the participatory nature of the play,  performed in the intimate setting of the Spy House dining room .  Each guest attending for the evening will be given an overview of the part they will be playing as well as necessary props needed for the character.  Also, throughout the evening, courses of a splendid gourmet meal will be served to each of the guests participating.  At the conclusion of a fun and event filled evening what better place to conclude your night then to stay in the house where the actual act of "espionage" occurred.

      This special event can only accommodate groups between 16-20 people.
