Cedars and Beeches is a bed and breakfast country inn first built at the turn of the19th century in the fashionable section of Long Branch known as West EndThe Inn is 55 miles from New York City, approximately 45 miles from Newark Airport and 75 miles from Philadelphia.
This Victorian mansion is the first bed & breakfast in Long Branch. The West End section, historic due to the many United States Presidents, industrial magnates and scions of society that owned summer residences here, offers visitors a unique location, four blocks to Ocean Avenue and Long Branch beaches, three blocks to Monmouth University and a few short blocks to Monmouth Medical Center. Today still, Long Branch offers its summer visitors a series of expansive beaches, nearby tennis and golf facilities, and Monmouth Raceway Park.
Now a year round community, Long Branch and the surrounding area offer a variety of dining establishments, entertainment and shopping facilities as well as museums and playhouses.
Typical of its time period, this three storey Victorian mansion features a wrap-around porch, grand staircase, and Tiffany stained glass windows. Beautifully decorated, each room offers the comforts and dé#ffcc99cor of a personalized bedroom combined with the modern conveniences including a private bathroom. Many of the rooms feature windowed alcoves, 12-foot ceilings and hardwood floors. Each room features many amenities including cable television, central heat and air conditioning, ceiling fan, hair dryer, AM/FM clock radio and telephone with voice mail.
The Inn offers guests delightful and bountiful continental breakfasts during the week, afternoon refreshment, on-site parking, game tables and wrap-around porch.
On weekends and holidays, our specialty brunch enjoys its own special reputation. Accommodations for guests who observe Kashrut laws are available.
In addition to its many amenities for the leisure traveler, the Inn also offers many facilities for the business traveler including private telephones in each room, and access to facsimile, copiers and computers.
Corporate retreats or small business meetings, small weddings and reunions may also be held at the Inn.

Small intimate weddings are our specialty. Receptions during the summer up to 50 people; during the winter 35 people. A union witnessed only by your families and closest friends. Cedars & Beeches has 14 accommodations and can easily house up to 35 people. Self catering, the inn has the capability of serving breakfast, lunch or dinner or even hors d'ouevres - perfect for your rehearsal dinner as well as the celebration meal. With everyone dear to you there to share your special weekend, your wedding will be remembered by all. Our gift to you- fill the inn and either choose our suite on a complimentary basis for the 2 of you each night the inn is full or share and give each member of the party a 10% discount on their room each night the inn is full.

The Inn is 55 miles from New York City, approximately 45 miles from Newark Airport and 75 miles from Philadelphia. Exit 105 of the Garden State Parkway. - Stay straight on Route 36 East past Monmouth Mall and Consumers Mall to Route 71 South. At third traffic light (McDonalds on left), bear left unto Cedar Avenue. Continue on Cedar Avenue past Monmouth University. As you pass Woodgate Avenue, look left, the inn is on your left.
Long Branch is also accessible by bus from New York's Port Authority Bus Terminal and by Train from Penn Station in both Newark and New York.From the Northeast (New York City) - New Jersey Turnpike to Exit 11 to Garden State Parkway. Follow directions above.
